The bottom line is Jordan was 30 when he won his 3rd....LeBron was 29 & 30 and was losing in the NBA Finals and we don't know the outcome of him at 31 just yet.


I say that to say 2 things....don't compare his Championship resume to Jordan's because Bron's would never compare, & secondly, Jordan was still winning NBA Championships (already had 3 by 30 years old) while LeBron is still searching for his 3rd ring at 31 years old even though he's had double the amount of attempts than Jordan had (3 for Jordan...6 for LeBron) to do so.

In 1969, it was either Bill Russell or Wilt Chamberlain as the best in the NBA and being that the time period/era was heavy on their phase, we can take an educated guess as to why Jerry West was picked over them (without ever being named a league MVP or winning any Championships at the time while Russell had 5 MVPs & 11 Championships and Wilt had 4 MVPs and 1 Championships) as well as it just so happening to be the exact same year Jerry West became the only player in NBA History to be named NBA Finals MVP while playing on the losing team
