had a company call me to set up a phone interview last Friday. Hit them up and got nothing.

Some of these "start ups" act corny as hell. It's bad when the "VP" is doing the interviews and doesn't show up. :pacspit:

I just turned down a job this week myself but I'm employed and I applied for this job months ago. The best thing for any black man to do is get skills and keep up with the latest trends in the job market. Even if you aren't looking to leave your company keep your resume current and active in the job market.:youngsabo:

:damn: I'm not looking to leave my company, but I also want to test the waters by submitting my résumé to other companies, one in particular. I'm just afraid that if they do call me and I don't go to the interview they might put my name on a do not reinterview list lol

I learned early in my career to keep jobs calling you instead of you chasing them. That's why I keep my resume on the net available for employers to contact me. You have a linkedin? If you do then you already know these employers contact you directly if your resume is on point.:ehh:
