Basically, if you blame a woman for being a victim of sexual assault, you're a fukking c00n.

I mean, you're essentially using the same logic white supremacists use when innocent black men are killed. :manny:
Its the same damn thing.

Wonder if all the brehs saying 'women take responsibility for rape' have the same attitude towards shyt like institutional racism and police brutality. No point fighting it, just do what the officer says and take your discrimination/harrassment with a smile

And I tell my son to not raise his voice, make certain movement and to alway be aware of his surroundings when dealing with law enforcement. No one is placing blame on anyone but those who use violence but this world is ugly.

So why do you think it is down?
I was leaning towards the removal of lead from gas and paint, but apparently thats no good anymore.

So Im not sure. I know in NYC the biggest drivers of crime reduction were aggressive policing and accelerated gentrification. Lot of theories but I saw it first hand- cops started putting criminals away and with neighborhoods being safer people moved in. No clearer case than Brooklyn. @Poitier said the shyt like he knew for a fact but really didn't. That annoys me

The fukk are you talking about?

And people who commit rapes don't necessarily commit other crimes or live a criminal life. And "aggressive policing" usually leads to the harassment of innocent people who aren't doing anything. Let's not pretend like the police are doing a "better" job nowadays.

We should protect ourselves, and society cannot stop rape. Do you understand how multifaceted the issue of rape is in terms of what drives people to do it? You think there's a panacea for rape?
I was a rape counselor, and some of the missions of our hospital were to change policy for medications, statute of limitations, amongst other things, along with providing services to survivors. We held fundraisers and had educational campaigns, one of which was the "I have the right" campaign. Something we never said was if we keep researching, advocating and educating, rape will cease to exist, all we can do is try to deal with the issue as best as we can. I said all that to say, we don't live in a fantasy world, and although I'll never blame a victim for rape, I do believe there can be some safeguards established.

If a woman said it, then /thread now!

No one can argue against this.

Crime went down big time after Giuliani/Ray Kelly came into the picture in NYC. They went too far in some things but policing def worked :yeshrug:

Crime was already down. It's been on a downward trend over the last 20 years. You even said that yourself. And the reasons you gave had nothing to do with it.

And did you really say crime was down because the police were doing a better job?
