Kim is Trinidadian so is nicki but nicki doesn’t bleach. Sosa is Latino. Michael Jackson is the only Black American you named and had vitiligo, and wanted to be all one color. You did not prove the point you thought you did.

Growing up I NEVER saw anybody in our community that was bleached. It would have been immediately recognizable. Like they would have been outliers. Frfr.
Everybody had perms or press and curls but never any bleaching or anything like that. Not saying we don’t grapple with self hate but this is:weirdo:

Bleaching in the U.S. died down right before the 60s. But it was a big thing as well, skin lightening creams were sold on grocery store shelves - the descendants of those creams, “spot correction,” are still around.

I think the bleaching not as obvious because he went from Wesley Snipes to Michael B Jordan complexion. Most Africans and Islanders that bleach try to achieve the lightest skin possible and go from Biggie complexion to Prince complexion. :dwillhuh:End up looking like nosferatu and shyt. :picard:
