That shyt is cake at my distribution center, maybe it’s different at other locations. I can’t speak on being a carrier or a PSE but the worst part about putting letters in a cage or on a belt is it just gets boring. APBS and fingers make me feel like I’m stealing money sometimes. You don’t even handle parcels the way you do at UPS

I remember being 17 or 18 and put in application for FedEx they replied back, we’d like to interview you. Please come to this address at 3am.

3am :what:

So it’s me, some brehs, and a group of white dudes looking like Paul Wall’s stunt doubles freezing our asses in front of a gated FedEx facility. Damn near a hour later they bring us in to tour the facility, brown ass depressing building like a Xbox 360 call of duty game. They shows all the employees lifting shyt and then tell us come back the next day for our 1st day of work.

Im all smiling like, “sure thing boss my man”:skip:

Got in my car and I’m at Jack in the box at sunrise thinking I was fukkin tired looking at these dudes lifting boxes and said, fukk that I ain’t about that life. Got my breakfast Jack and never answered their calls on my Kyocera phone.
Akon’s “ Convict” tagline popped into my head after reading this.

Post office can't be that bad lol
The amount of turn over now is insane
The Post Office used to be a job that was hard to get but once you got it
You were on your way to middle class
The average carrier is putting in damn near 80 hours a week
Not every two weeks
A week
Carriers are mando overtime even if they don’t want it
People have to get FMLA or doctors notes for restrictions
Clerks are pulling almost the same crazy hours
So I don’t know where you nikkas getting your information
Distribution centers maybe different in different areas
But Houston ain’t one of them
Minneapolis ain’t one of them
LA/San Francisco/Oakland ain’t one of them
Dejoy is consolidating both offices and plants to make the Post Office run more “efficient” but it’s destroying the Post Office
I don’t know when you nikkas claiming the distribution centers are cake walks worked there but they ain’t no more
Post Office didn’t even hire holiday help this year and my friends are getting murked in Houston right now because of some dumb shyt
I understand Fedex, UPS, DHL and whoever else are different
But ain’t no way in hell you boys know what you talking about when it comes to the USPS:unimpressed:

I can't speak for FedEx... at UBS they tell you which PD you start at, then you move on to other things depending on what you want and/or are able to do.

I mostly did irregs (heavy loads) and general truck loading. I did the night shift for 4-6 hrs on literally the worst PD in the building. I'm 5'6 and was usually the smallest person on the sort but I was handling those oversized packages alone. No one forced me to do anything I didn't want to do and after 4 hours you could leave (unionized). Managers pretty much left me alone because I was willing to do the shyt no one else wanted to do.

Money wise, I prefer my current corporate job but I would go back to UPS if I could get paid the same wage.

I worked at both and this is cap.

Only position at USPS that can compare to the work of a FedEx and UPS worker are City Carriers.

Long hours is different than the back breaking work of an FedEx and UPS worker.

And trust me I worked at both FedEx and USPS.

I was an carrier and then changed over to being a processing clerk. And both of those positions where way easier than what I was doing at FedEx. :heh:

I was a clerk and it was not as bad as you are describing it.

My brother got put on restrictions. No more than 40hrs/5 days in a week. He's only been doing it a few years and I can tell it's kicking his ass. Plus he's going through some autoimmune shyt now. He's already been referred for surgery on his knees and shoulder. I popped up on him at the crib one evening near the end of January last year, and he told me I was lucky that I caught him at home because the only two days he had off up until that point were New Year's and MLK Day and those are gvmnt holidays :picard:

One of those jobs have a union hence they ain’t lifting heavy shyt…

FedEx and ups will make a man out of you lmaoo
Usps won't deal with anything over 70 lbs. FedEx and UPS will take anything.. when I ran the post office on a carrier I would turn away anyone who tried to mail anything over 70lbs, I didn't care if it was a department head or the CMC
