Is this why black films today have no identity?

The Harder They Fall just dropped and people say its phenomenal
I can't support it enough. A Black movie made by a competent Black staff intended for a Black audience. It's practically a unicorn these days.

Much of everything else wants to appeal to Black people who don't actually hang around Black people.

harder they fall is a classic
you want black people in roles where them being black doesn't matter.

I don't for a second believe that "I'm a black guy" commentator is black. Neither his comments read as a person who actually partakes in black culture. And I can't understand where black athletes being millionaires factors into this. Top to bottom it's white middle age man rhetoric.

I was excited about the prospect of the new western The Harder They Fall.
The excellent talent attached to the film had me really anticipating it's release. And new light shed on what should have been legendary characters was intriguing...

I'm still trying to determine who this film was made for.
