No. The moment that you consider now is no longer now and your mind does not get taken along with the flow of time. The path that your body flows along through time is then no longer a uni-directional journey. In this model the past, present and future already exist and you just move your minds sense of now within this pre-existing set of possibilities and times. There is no state change of getting older because you are already old and you are already young.

The direction of time and being fixed at a point in time have nothing to do with ageing. As timeless creatures we could navigate all ages. Or at least our conciousness could.

Time is most certainly not an illusion. How fast or slow time goes simply depends on your perception of it. Waiting to get off work? Feels like years. A good night out with friends? Seems like 30 minutes before it's last call. To us, time can expand and shrink, but it marches ever forward. Realize how little of it we have, and make the most of it.
