It's on life support. And even though they've been on life support before and survived, this can't keep happening forever.
If it's gonna stay small-budget, it needs to find its niche and do something creatively original, and NEVER try to compete with WWE.
If they insist on competing with WWE, they need to find a mega-rich owner with major TV connections who is hands-off and willing to invest heavily in top talent both in the ring and in creative. (This is extremely unlikely.)
Seems like they've always had ridiculous dreams of competing with WWE, but never had the money, creativity and personnel (at least not all three at the same time) to do it. They gotta give up on that dream unless they find serious cash and commitment.
