This is low-hanging fruit troll bait. People basically got sonned into silence over this nonsense and stopped saying it about 5 years ago. Like, there's literally a window in SOHH/Coli history where this stuff was refuted so thoroughly that you got clowned for posting it ever again. Maybe you missed the era.

You're a good poster on many things, but your football analysis is always sounds like ESPN talking points. You literally just (a) repeated an unfounded bunch of bullshyt about the Pats filming walkthroughs and supposedly stealing Steelers signals and (b) said "tuck rule" and Vinatieri as if those are actual things that detract from Brady. It's not even worth explaining how flawed that nonsense is at this point. It's tiring.

Anyhow, Montana's SB performance puts him over Brady for now. If Brady wins again then he's the GOAT. His overall resume is more impressive.
Nah, you're just too emotionally invested in your favorite team to be able to assess them with any sort of objectivity so you go on angry tirades and ad hominem attacks like this whenever people raise the legitimate points about Tom Brady or the Patriots history legacy. And yes, spygate, the tuck rule, and having a kicker who was always money in the clutch in big games are legitimate points that will always be in any discussion regarding Brady's all time ranking amongst his NFL peers. The first two are about fairness and integrity. The last is just putting in context what an asset Vinatieri was...that's fair game for debate just like Montana having Rice or whatever other personnel advantages he or anyone else may have had is.

That all being said, I still consider Brady #2 all time, very close to being #1. You view him in the same way a child views his mommy, where mommy is perfect and any mention of anything that isn't complimentary about mommy is wrong and whoever said it is bad, so it makes discussions like this with you difficult.

Eye test tells me Elway or Young. Numbers tell me Montana, Brady or Bradshaw. Taking nothing away from Brady but Bradshaw won four in six years and like Montana was undefeated in the Super Bowl. Just saying. Brady a bad dude though. I must add, however, the most ardent Brady sycophants must acknowledge he is a lucky dude. Much of that luck has been mentioned already. Malcolm Butler gave him immortality because 4>>3. Some of the same people who mitigate LeBron's greatness by bringing up Kyrie, Wade, or Ray Allen, don't acknowledge Butler, Adam, or the great defense that put the the breaks on that high scoring Rams team for his first win. He def top 3 though.

I like the fact that Brady was pick #199 in the draft and is now considered one of the best of all time. After Brady retires, it will be interesting what the next qb is going to do under Beli's system. Unless Beli decides to retire at the same time.

you must not understand what im comparing then.. Montana & MJ never loss in a SB/Finals, Brady & Bron has... :stopitslime: people will ALWAYS bring these facts up..
However, both losses weren't on Brady. Of course he didn't play lights out in the almost perfect season but both games were out of his hands.

It's very hard to compare eras. Who knows how much the guys who played in the 70's-90's would have thrown for if they played with today's ruleset?

The rules enacted in 2004 to protect WRs and QBs in 2006 and 2009 have skewed stats greatly.

I will say this, I think Marino's gotta be high up there in ATG lists. Threw for 5000 yards and 48 TDs in 1984.
