Lol i am overseas, and i've been to France Spain Germany Poland and Netherlands yes. Also do you understand that the Americas Africa and Asia are all bigger than Europe, it seems you put a lot of onus in Europe, when it encompasses a smaller part of the world than other continents. Even so Rap is bigger than House is in the UK, same with France, and most Western European countries. Its the reason other than the fact that Electronic music is very Dj focused, that Dr Dre is more recognizable than David Guetta, Electronic music is very single based, but even so if you look at the charts over the last 10 years, Rap music has made a bigger impact. In fact till last year until the emergence of a group called 'Disclosure' true House, and by that i don't mean the likes of Guetta, Aoki or Kaskade, wasn't making moves in the mainstream charts, i don't think you know what you're talking about.

Ive hit the club in latin america and europe and i can def say house electro gets played way more than rap worldwide... Same on the radio stations...

Rap is bigger in the us... Dunno bout the uk... And theres a rap scene in every country i been to... But as far as mainstream goes no doubt house is more popular than rap in europe and latin america...

I also noticed ppl outside the us are generally careless about genres and artists... If they like a song then it dont matter... N only rappers most ppl ive talked to recognize outside the us r 50 cent eminem kanye west n to some degree jay z...

N yeah kendrick drake jay z may be able to pack a show with 3000 ppl in the us uk canada and australia... But tiesto n guetta r able to do 3 shows in 3 different cities in a country like a colombia in 3 days n pack them with more than 5000 ppl... Imagen how they do in europe north america n asia

I don't think people have a true grasp of what 'House' is. The David Guettas of this world do electronic music but its not house, House music is still played in relatively small events, artists like Julio Bashmore, Kerri Chandler etc don't play at venues of 30,000, these are some of the frontrunners of genuine House music.

I think people are overstating the impact and appeal of EDM based on the fact it gets love on the club scene, if you went to some clubs in Europe you would think bashment is bigger than Rap as well, but its not, if you came to the UK, you would think Afrobeats was bigger than Rap, but again its not.

Drake Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj are all just as big as Guetta, in fact Lil Wayne is bigger. The thing is a lot of David Guettas biggest hits contain Rap and Rnb stars, if rap wasn't so big, he wouldn't be using artists like Nicki Minaj and Akon as a platform to sell more records. Take a look at it yourself, Cudi, Minaj, Black Eyed Peas, Akon, Flo Rida, Lil Wayne, Ludacris have all been on some of his biggest hits in the last 5 year.

And if you don't think the likes of Lil Wayne and Drake can sell out shows in Europe and Asia and Africa then you're mistaken.
