Here's the thing, everything you wrote can be turned around and used as a comment on J.cole and it'll be perfectly apt.
Pop Jodeci freestyle on right now, listen to Drake's verse, and wait till J.cole comes on, notice how the energy drops and how completely bland he sounds next to drake.
Cole isn't doing anything groundbreaking, there isn't a song on Born sinner that will be held to as a classic 15 years from now (ditto on wale's album).
This need to try to separate Cole as if he's some sort of elite artist is funny to me. He's a good rapper that stands out in a mediocre generation (like Wale to a lesser extent)
I can see if it's Drake fans clowing Wale for this, But Cole fans?

I downloaded Whale's album and threw everything on it except Bad in the recycling bin after one spin. That shyt is wholly uninspiring. Whale is only good rapping about chicks and doing guest features.
wale is far from average, if you think so.... alot of his stuff must just go wayyyy over your head.
His delivery is a bit bland though, more so back in the day... At one point I couldn't listen to him too much to be honest. But he has stepped up his game alot.
J cole is average guy... he has skill and potential but overall he is boring.
Kendrick and drake have life and energy to their tracks. If cole and wale had that same energy it would be a wrap.
To be honest I think drake embodies all them dudes in one and then some. No matter how you feel about him, he's got skills.
