Definitely a Left Coast classic. I grew up off this, the good days back when we had a identity
I am from Toronto, and there was a mix of a lot of music. But for the most part east coast music dominated for me and my friends(Iam not going to try to claim a city). For obvious reason. But this album transended everyones musical tastes.
It is a classic imo. I am almost positive, that most people who where born in the 80's no matter who they liked. Could rap along word for word with this album.

Growing up a west coast fan in Toronto
Much music rap city showed no love, radio showed no love

A WC fan in TO at this time. You poor basterd..
Sheeit, you dudes where so in the minority at that time. Like I said me and my friends where east coast heavy. But we where always cool with the dudes who listen to WC music. use to always talk shyt with each other, but exchange music during class. And all the dudes who listen to WC music where always a$$holes, who sold the best weed..![]()

Man I used to get checked for listening to snoop doggy Dogg by cats who listened to das efx
But for real, it was all wu, nas, biggie and mobb, and some bcc
PAC got love, snoop a bit, bone did for sure, but I had to discover the quiks and eihts and e40s on my lonesome
shyt was so hard![]()
I was st clair and bathhurst when I was young(The not rich side). But I went to HS in Sauga. Well, somewhat. I spent a few years up north playing hockey. So I was pretty much all over Ontario. And it was all the same. with pretty much what you say,
"it was all wu, nas, biggie and mobb, and some bcc PAC got love, snoop a bit, bone did for sure". The only thing that was different for me is when I was boarding up North Rap, was the Minority rock was number 1.
I'm 30 so I grew up in the grunge and alternative era...never was into rock in fact that was the big rivalry between us in middle school n shyt but looking back a brother sho do appreciate some nirvana and offspring
NO shyt
