It’s been fantastic. I’ve been WFH for 2 years now. I only go into the office 1x a week. Honestly, I think going into the office 1-2x a week is beneficial for the soul/mind too.

Home Office Setup:

Jarvis Standing Desk
Herman Miller Aeron Chair
LG 38” UltraWide
Mac Mini
MacBook Pro
Apple Magic Keyboard
Logitech MX Master 3 Mouse
Airpods
Sonos One Wireless Speaker
IKEA plants/shelves
African artwork
Peloton Bike

WFH frees me up to do what I want and go where I want. I can go home and visit my mom anytime I want because I can just work from her house. I can go on vacation and work from an Airbnb. I save so much money is gas because I don't have to drive to work. I save money on food because I cook when I'm hungry instead of wasting it on fast food. I also eat healthier. WFH shyt's on going into the office.

Yea.

But I do miss good banter and good office mates. But only an extreme max of 2 days a week I’d do in the office. If it was no more than 1 hour door to door.

Yes, I’m in a meeting right now. I have some construction going on in my backyard. Once it’s done I’m going to start working on my patio and taking meeting from my pool.

Update: 2 of my bosses are complete bytches, I'm overworked and Underpaid and I have interviews for hybrid jobs.

I'll take the hybrid, work in office with better pay any day. Once I get hired, no 2 weeks notice, just turning everything in.

WFH is great. It allows you more flexibility than not. It’s also great if you are actually know how to do your job and can be efficient.

That being said its all sitiuational. If you work in a client focused industry and the client wants you in person and/or the job you have is better working closely with others, you should be more flexible in traveling/working in the office. Nothing worse than new staff who don’t know shyt trying to WFH when the client wants you at their office because the communication is better.

Yes ngga, yes

Few things that went way different than I’d expect: I do sleep in, but in 2 plus years I have yet to stay in bed all day on my laptop, or just watch movies all day. That ain’t it

Also the key is don’t literally stay in the house. Go to a coffee shop, people watch. My go-to right now is Whole Foods on a poppin strip

I’ll be at this window all day. So you still feel alive and not isolated—-and goodness the eye candy—-but still have a productive work space
Good advice

You don’t want to become an introvert
