It's easier to make a list of stars who play defense than who don't.

Those guys aren't as bad defensively as portrayed.

Harden really is that bad, Westbrook definitely is this season. Curry is okay. I can't say on cousins cause I hardly watch him.

Honestly,

I understand the risks associated with IT's size, defense, etc.

But I think it's a bit disingenuous to somehow put his performance and ability in the same category of "temporary" as Nate Robinson's Bulls playoff play a few years ago when Rose went down.

Outside of his size, is there much to go on that he can't perform at atleast 80% of what he's doing now?

The Celtics are in a very good spot, though, considering their draft position. I'm generally a "fan favorite" type fan regarding loyalty so take my opinion with a grain of salt but I say give him the money.

danny probably pissed off that his team is overperforming right now. He might be forced to overpay Thomas. And nets are going to have worst record in the league which means minimum #2 pick so thats either fultz or ball, both are point guards. I dont see thomas performing on this elite level for the next 4-5 years, and he damn sure will never play good defense. I still dont understand whats their plan, them high draft picks gonna need minutes
