Numbers don't lie. Agree or disagree, 30 PPG is a superstar numbers :sas2:

30ppg over a couple years is superstar numbers. There are dozens of dudes who averaged 30 for a season who never became superstars.

Off the top of my head Adrian Dantley and Rick Barry

Edit: didn't wanna throw shade on the gawd

When did Rick Barry didn't became a superstar? :dahell: The guy led the Warriors to their 2nd championship.

And Dantley is a 6x all-star, 2x All-NBA 2nd team. He's around the stardom level of J Oneal in his prime. That's borderline-superstar status.

He's a very good player but a regular season stats guy.meaning In the postseason when people actually give a shyt and scout u and take away your strengths his 5'7 ass isn't taking over

A superstar that gets benched for defensive possessions.

a superstar that has a negative net rating in the 4th quarters... oh the same 4th quarters he supposedly takes over.

A superstar that is ranked 86th out of 86 point guards on defense

:mindblown:

Its rare you can cite a series in which a player lost to elevate their legacy but AI's legendary game 1 against the Lakers is the rare exception. I want to see baby bop lead the Celtics to the finals and hang 48 and a dub on the Warriors and then we can revisit this.
:hubie: People just don't get it. It's always "efficiency" when it comes to AI. Leave that man alone, he knew he was the first, usually only option and took whatever shot he pleased. Dude didn't care about that "efficiency" jazz :skip: rookie year crossing up :mjcry: himself lol

Being inefficient separates GOAT from really amazing.

Taking whatever shots you please isn't a good thing. IT scores almost as much on DRASTICALLY less attempts and he does it as a much better shooter than Iverson was.
