:russ: Brent Barry might as well been just another piece of furniture during that segment, that CAC had no lines, no reactions, not even any camera time. Damn. :pachaha:
He actually had some good thoughts on the other segments. The guy grew up around the league in the 70s, he seemed to have a great knowledge of the game from 60s/70s/80s along with Isiah. Isiah is the best on the panel

Steve Smith is really good lowkey on these too. So is Grant

D. Scott & Shaq I could do without

The thing that really comes through in these clips - which ALSO comes through in person... is that Zeke is one of the most charismatic, personable dudes in the HISTORY of the league.

I worked with him briefly, and got to spend some time with him, and LOVED being around him, nonstop stories, honest opinions about basketball, LOVES talking about skillsets, young players, old players, everything. I sat at a dinner with him and larry brown (before the fallout obviously) and they were SO blunt about who sucked, who's overrated, who's underrated... zeke talked about how he thought Larry ruined Darko, larry talked about how darko sucked, and not drafting melo/bosh/wade(who he wanted) cost that team two rings at least.... it was a fun dinner, man. we were out late. Larry was coming to the knicks, everything was in bloom... damn ...

:mjcry:

Anyway.
Obviously I hated him running the knicks... but the dude has a CULT of personality. I actually always thought he'd end up being a really good college coach, because of it.

Larry Brown wanted Wade? Holy shyt

Yeah, for me, the Steve Nash doesn't deserve MVPs shyt is an in retrospect type of argument. When the smoke settled and the dust cleared, and you realize Steve Nash never went to the Finals, and ended up with more MVPs than Shaq and Kobe, Iverson, Kidd, Garnett, Dirk, etc., even though all of those guys were better than him, then yeah, you say he didn't "deserve" them. But if you watched the NBA those couple of years, he was the league MVP those seasons... and Shaq's only argument was for that first MVP; the second year Nash won it LeBron, Kobe, etc., had arguments for winning it but Shaq sure as hell didn't. And on some real shyt, Nash could've won the MVP the year Dirk won too and I wouldn't have had a real issue with it.

It's rare anyway that one player is just so far and ahead for the MVP that nobody's gonna argue against it anyway; LeBron a couple of years back was an example.

Nah.....fukk that. Im glad Shaq said it....he said the same thing I say.

How Steve Nash got two MVPs but, Shaq and Kobe got 1. Something wrong with that picture.

Shaq and Kobe going down as top 10 players, top 15 at the least. Steve Nash not even top 30.
