Jordan, Pippen and Rodman are all in the HOF.

Yeah nowadays iso-ball is really only a viable strategy when the defense has to account for every single player on the court or when a team's stategy is to live with one guy going off. That's how that Knicks team that won 54 games a few years ago thrived. Yeah it was mostly based on Melo and JR Smith isos but they had shooters constantly moving around the perimeter and ready to knock down a barrage of threes and an excellent pick-and-roll finisher in Tyson Chandler, so four defenders had to chase those guys and leave somebody on an island guarding Melo. Once the Knick roster'sNot being allowed to double Shaq or Jordan until the ball was in their hands, meanwhile the bulls and Spurs are guarding LeBron in that video by doubling the birdman off the ball in the paint and choking off passing lanes, which forced a bad shot to be taken. Imagine smaller and more agile guards like Wade or bean or Vince or McGrady being allowed to do that in their prime how quickly they could get into the paint. How badly would we see Curry and Kyrie embarsss their defenders without zones?
-ness caught up with them and they couldn't knock down 3's as well, they fell off the next season. Are you really gonna argue that zone defense hasn't had a major impact on the game? And oh look the zone defense argument has come back
These the same nikkas taking Lowry over Kidd
These the same nikkas saying Draymond would give Kareem problems
I needed a good laugh after work fellas .

No but some of these guys have said that MJ and others would have not been as good because of zonesAre you really gonna argue that zone defense hasn't had a major impact on the game?![]()
I thought i remembered Jordan himself said he wouldn't be as good playing against the zoneNo but some of these guys have said that MJ and others would have not been as good because of zones
Of course it's changed things but great players will always figure it out.
I'm not sure how familiar you are with the "I hate the 90's" crowd on here

i agree with Zeke about big man in this era, soft af...except K. Love & TT, both avg 10rpg..![]()

Exactly. These old nikkas never mention the huge problems spacing causes for modern defenses. It doesn't matter how tough you are, you can't move faster than the ballBig men in other eras didn't need to both shoot the 3 as well as guard the 3, creating tons of spacing in the court.
These old NBA players think no one is trying on defense just when in reality it's a hell of lot harder not just because the rules have made it so you can't have as much contact with ball handlers, but also because players are a lot more separated from their teammates on defense due to the spacing. If you have to go over and help then you're leaving a guy open that no one can potentially go rotate to. That isn't the same as a player in the post being double teamed and then someone quickly going back up to their guy when the ball is passed back out. There's just not enough time for defenders to recover, which is why length is such a huge thing these days as it allows you to both contest from farther away but also make longer strides back to the open shooter.

hype up... like every team you named didn't have one of the nba 50 greatest players/hof of famers on it playing in their primeTo hype up an era. Same reason that dumbasses are out here hyping up the 90's Knicks, Trailblazers, Pacers, and Hawks in threads.
And they were a .500 team the year after![]()

So let's keep skipping "Four 1st-Ballot Hall of Famers on the same team in an Expansion Era when every team was trash past the 2nd/3rd option".Player for player the 90s bulls were not that good compared to other championship teams. This is a fact..

PPG is meaningless?????????![]()
you mean this guyHe just laid there because he's smart. He's the best player on his team, why would he get in a fight with the 12th man off the bench and get himself thrown out? Thats the only reason Nazr was in the game
Lebron just willed his team back from 1-3 in the Finals with a GOAT performance, leading both teams in major stats. I don't think we can keep calling him weak hearted.
Lebron would give the Bad Boys the business. Whenever people talk about current players playing back then, they nevre mention that current players could hit back too. Lebron would be the most physicaly gifted player on the court, yall acting like he couldn't clothesline a nikka too![]()

So selling contact to draw an extra two foul shots AND the ball means a player can't handle physical play?you mean this guy

They can't help themselves. Even Reggie never made an all NBA second team while only making two third teams. They actually think one big name star makes up for how trash the rest of the roster was.The best player on the Knicks was Patrick Ewing and second was John Starks.
The best player on the Blazers was Clyde Drexler, a guard with a broke shot who could only use his right and looked at the ball when he dribbled, and the second best was....ummm...Terry Porter?
The best player on the Pacers was Reggie Miller, a guy who literally did nothing other than shoot. In other words, "The 3rd or 4th most important player on the 2015-16 Warriors". And then we have....um...Rik Smits?
The best player on the Hawks was Dikembe Mutumbo and second was...um....Mookie Blaylock?
Keep on hyping the John Starks, Terry Porters, Mookie Blaylocks, and Rik Smits of the world when the BEST player on those teams wasn't even all that good either.![]()

His entire legacy is built off two fukking games, one of which was a series where the pacers got blown out in game 7 anywayHighest Reggie Miller ever came in MVP voting was 14th.![]()

Tell me how that squad did against him again?
Like 1990s players, even Bad Boys (especially Rodman) didn't fake crap and overplay when it was to their advantage.
Who want to prove something, did it affect his ability to win the game? Because that's what you're claiming. And Lebron's never been "beaten up" or "fouled" or "out-physicaled" out of a playoff series win in his entire career.
