The fukked up thing is, Kenji Goto, was holding a picture of the Jordan pilot in that same cage when the demands were stated.

At that point, I think the pilot was already dead.
That's most likely why when Jordan offered to give up the female ISIS member they said they would trade the Japanese guy instead.
And the fact that the Japanese guy was only holding his picture instead of ISIS proving he was alive
Like they would rather kill him than even negotiate.

Nah they not off brand at all. Ive watched a few docs about them and the Syrian war. If im not mistaken they are soldiers left over from Saddam's military/police force (us trained)/randoms.
