Isn't there enough history for there to be a "classic rap" radio station by now?

The station closest to that up here is WBLS

That's the R&B version of what I was thinking of, that's why it's one of the few stations I can listen to regularly. :blessed:

no this will not feasible for today's climate...most record labels and mainstream media have a hidden agenda to phase out old school hip hop for a while in efforts to rewrite history...pretty much like American history was rewritten....just look at how that silly 'Fuse' channel is feeding hip hop to the youth with their "greatest of all time" countdowns without including anything pre 2000....

I haven't looked at Fuse in damn near a decade. That channel still exists? :wow:

Please no more radio stations talking about where hipbop lives.
Those stations are all a revenue grab culture thief mentality based business model.
To attract advertisers.
Then flip the script and become nuffin but a wack commercial.rap depot.
That deflects talembout,....
We got bills,...so our new playlist is reflected of trying to gather ad dollars.
fukk, rap exclusive radio stations who use this model.

I grew tired of that faking jaxs ass bullshyt in the mid-nineties.
I could do without more of them now.

I got DirecTV and they got mad music channels in the like 700s, there's a channel called the Boombox and all they do is play classic shyt from the early 80s to about 2003. And it's not all mainstream cats from the period they'll play shyt like Big Mike and Mic Geromino, they'll play real old school shyt like Fat Boys and Ultramagnetic MC's.

Check it out DirecTV brehs. :wow:

Nah nikkas is too picky for that to happen when it comes to hiphop, its a different animal.....people who like classic rock like old classic rock, old classic soul is classic soul....but hiphop is too different as far as style,sound,culture....I really don't vibe wit old 90's east coast shyt overall outside of a few favorites....I think its enuff classics too probaly have a station that plays nothing but the songs everybody fuked with, and not too many people say they hate, no era restrictions....I would love to hear Freaky Tales,Wipe Me Down,Damien back to back to back:pachaha:....we don't even got that here, every city should have a hiphop station:comeon:

If you download the TuneInRadio app, there's station called Sky Classic Raps, and they play every ol school hip-hop song from the 80s, 90s, up to the middle 00s:blessed:
