Issa does work with a lot of other black creatives. She always has a ton of black writers and directors, just because they aren’t household names that would catch your eye doesn’t mean she’s not doing the work. And she’s working on a new show with the Gus from Southside (who also got their show cancelled by Max when Warner bought it)It's very interesting how people get on and don't collab with other black creatives to buy up or build a studio to produce their own shows and projects. Instead they get to a certain level and talk about how they feel stagnant.
Why is it possible that people with less money than Issa are able to put movies out on Tubi (regardless of quality), but she can't put shows and movies on there or have her own platform in collaboration with other black writers, directors and producers?
I don't wanna hear any complaints from people in this position. Tubi is available, youtube is available, you're in a position of power. You have no excuses.

looks if you were an A lister and ended up on a TV show. Then those A list opportunities dried up and Netflix/Hulu wasn't sounding like such a bad option. And some good work came out of those pivots
