It bothers me how that in alot of black circles, conspiracy nuts are automatically considered smart

You forget that for the first few months of this shyt, people (some of them posted up in this thread right NOW) thought that the COVID-19 virus was a result of 5G Mobile Technology

You can up the threads yourself breh...use the search function if you think I'm lying
WTF does that have to do with what I just said? None of that has to do with schools or public education. That's just dumbasses wanting to be dumbasses.

Right but if they're using Google to access this info (ex. YouTube) then it's not as simple as having access to Google.

It's deeper than that, meaning the ability to understand what a primary and secondary source is, the idea of the Scientific Method, empirical evidence, etc.

These are things that are not being pushed in American schools because if it was, it would crush a number of conservative and right wing movements and invalidate a swath of the American political system, mainly the GOP, which thrives on misinformation and the distortion of facts.

The "left" is not the one pushing back against the concept of "Critical Race Theory" or even calling slavery what it was. What goes into most textbooks in this country is largely what goes down in Texas and other red states.

So no...just having access to Google is not enough. In fact, I'd bet that that's what a number of "researchers" like Kyrie Irving are using to do their own studies on why they don't want to take the vaccine, even though they have likely been injected with or taken doses of things they can't even pronounce, let alone give an explanation on what those substances do to their body.

You are absolutely right on how one applies the methodology. Especially during the early days of the pandemic a lot of papers weren’t peer reviewed, because so many were written in a short period.

Every belief that goes against an establishment narrative gets the "Conspiracy Theory" label. The term was originally coined for those who didn't believe the Warren Commission Report regarding JFK's assassination. The Warren Reports findings are considered highly suspect today? Black conspiracy theorists said the US government and CIA were responsible for the infiltration of drugs in Back communities. Well, Journalist Gary Webb exposed this to be true and Freeway Ricky Ross corroborated the story. How about MLK jr and Malcolm X's murders? MLK jr's wife and kids didn't even believe James Earl Ray killed MLK jr. The most recent was in 2020, when if you said the following ( And many did) you were a conspiracy theorist, yet all turned out to be true:
  • COVID came from a lab
  • Government will mandate the vaccines
  • People will be taking 4-5 vaccine shots
  • Government will make "Vaccine Passports"
  • Folks will lose their jobs if they don't get vaccinated
The real problem is when "Conspiracy Theorists" turn out to be correct, all the doubters go quiet, when they should be willing to eat crow, as we all should when we are wrong. No one is above being wrong, and even a broken clock gives the correct time twice a day.
