It’s pretty odd and really makes me want to take a look at what they’re teaching (actual content and themes) especially in predominantly Black schools/the curricula. Would be great if some ed experts got into policy work/really looking at this.Yeah I don't know if this is due to the pandemic and social media or what but the conspiratorialism in the black community has reached new heights smh. shyt is dangerous.
People don't know how to properly vet sources, don't know history, don't know basic science, don't know the scientific method, have massive amounts of (unwarranted) mistrust in certain institutions but will trust a video shared on Facebook from some "doctor" telling you what "they" don't want you to know. At this point I don't even try to argue with people.
And probability and statistics needs to be a requirement in high school![]()
the conspiracy nuts on the coli do thisThat’s becuz nikkas will start bringing up historical facts not even related to the conspiracy and if people don’t know history like that it’s easy to fool them. I know. Ive done it before when I was younger
shyt could be about the government been contact with aliens for decades and somebody will say they don’t believe it. All you gotta do is say some shyt like
What you think the Spanish American War was fought for?
Notice how we got more technology in the last 50 years then any other time in human history
But you gotta be real vague and not give direct answers. You gotta say shyt like “the information is out there. I’m not here to educate you”
Matter fact there’s nikkas on this site who do that

People want to think they have the inside track to hidden knowledgeWhile people who use real facts and logic get ignored or labeled as sheep
Maybe it's just my generation(im 26) but so many black people I have conversations with don't hesitate to believe or spread any misinformation, and will shun anyone with actual facts or knowledge on a situation
shyt is sad
this is what Tariq does on vaccines. I literally had to make threads on this:That’s becuz nikkas will start bringing up historical facts not even related to the conspiracy and if people don’t know history like that it’s easy to fool them. I know. Ive done it before when I was younger

Imagine Harriet Tubman pointing to the north star and telling the slaves to follow it as a guide to freedom and the slaves turn around and say nah the sky is CGI it ain’t real.
We doomed as a people if we don’t make higher education a priority.
There is a reason why the Russians have targeted black people with misinformation campaigns. We lead to much by emotion and not enough critical thinking.
Even with shyt like the Tuskegee experiment. People still get that story wrong to this day. Folks really think black men were “given” syphilis. They already had it and went to Tuskegee to get treated but the doctors used them as an experiment to see was syphilis fatal and didn’t treat them and that’s where the malpractice happened
This is the reason. People want to reject the "white narrative" so bad but they have no knowledge, nuance or discernment to replace it with. So they accept any bullshyt that goes against the grain.
why yall think i'm against black people believing in any religions or even being spiritual?COVID = Confirmation Of Vaccine ID
coincidence? no such thing in this REALity
stay woke
It's not about what they are teaching at school. it's about what they are hearing outside of school, from parents friends and accessing on social media
thing is people misunderstand education as being something that is instilled rather that sought after.I know what you’re getting at in terms of who people listen to and spheres of influence (I had a relative tell me “Black people can’t/don’t get Covid” before we went on to be disproportionately impacted by it), but much of it actually does have to do with how they’re teaching young people to think and the difference between accepting the value of evidence/facts and expounding versus “well someone I respect said it so I’ll take on that opinion/falsehood.” Questioning some things is fine and healthy, but disputing well-documented facts is another realm.
Yep and anytime you ask them for links or sources they hit you with thethe conspiracy nuts on the coli do this
i call the technique vague allusions. it's a very transparent pump fake and they can never elaborate on shyt. the whole strategy is to bombard people with unrelated information and throw them off balance but it don't work on everyone plus it's insulting because they assume that others are too dumb to follow along.
