The only one who may have eclipsed him is Rock. Austin is the biggest star of the most money making period in WWE history. Rock took over when he fell. Cena is NOWHERE near that as wrestling interest has waned. The Yes chants being in the media is probably more over than anything associated with Cena.

HHH has been outshined in everything he has ever done.

DX? Shawn, X-Pac, Outlaws.
Corporation? The Rock, Shane, Vince
McMahon Helmsley Era? Stephanie
Evolution? Batista and Orton
DX reform? Shawn
Hes been getting carried in matches ever since and even in terms of NXT its Dusty and Regal everyone praises while he takes the pictures with indy darlings.

Austin's legacy is safe.

The rednecks over there at cmt love dude. Plus he's gotten some looks from Hollywood over the years.

The rock is the biggest action star in the world.

Hogan got crazy bread since the gawker incident.

Hbk is hunting animals on that hunting channel.

Batista been getting more looks over the past 3 or 4 years in Hollywood.

Even Nash getting some of that Hollywood bread.

I think for the most part all of the main event dudes from the late 90s are evolving outside of maybe 90℅ of them ECW dudes.

Eclipsed? Given the amount and time and effort the other guys put in, Austin may actually have one of the GOAT post wrestling careers.

He's no longer dependent on the ups and downs of wrestling like Cena (who's slowly diversifying) and HHH (who literally only has wrestling), while still being synonymous with the biggest era (or at worst last boom period). Plus he's still a bigger name than those two combined in and out of wrestling.

He's not Rock status Hollywood wise, but he's still a household name without the ungodly amount of work (time, effort, dedication) it takes to keep a train like Rock's moving.

Not to mention he has his own lane in one of the most dedicated markets around. He's going to be good until the day he quits.

Only one I could see him feeling that way about would maybe be the Rock, but I'm not sure.

I think he'd have much better success in Hollywood if he could harness his comedic side more, get roles more in line with his podcast personality. That's more of a unique schtick than the Stone Cold silent tough guy act.

This post would be valid if Austin WANTED that lifestyle. He doesn't. Sometimes I myself wish he wanted it because I'm a huge stan and wanted to see him be a A list movie star post-career but clearly he was like :manny: to it all. Good for him.

Aside from Rock (and you can make a case for either/or), whenever he comes to WWE NO ONE captures the crowd like him. Cena, HHH, Batista, Hogan...they can be in as many movies or Hollywood mediums as possible, none of them still can capture an audience like Stone Cold. He's set. His legacy as a GOAT is secure.

:mjlol:@ Austin stans bendin over backwards to spin the fact that he's been eclipsed by those guys in 2017, "bu..bu...but he's big wit rednecks:whoa:" "he's okay wit not havin as much crossover appeal as Rock Cena etc:damn:".

In 2017, we can clearly see that HHH is the one jealous of everyone, including his own friends. He will never be looked at the way people look at Austin, Rock, and HBK.
:hhh:He has no reason to be jealous of anyone at this point he already is looked at by people the same way as Austin Rock and HBK are, casual fans and mainstream folks who don't follow wrestlin view him as one of the GOATs like it or not only smarks like you wit a vendetta downtalk his legacy cause yall think he's a legit heel since its still real to yall.:umad:

Yeah they can rewrite history him and his wife and live in his fantasy world where he is god. But at the end of the day he know who he truly is and he wanys to portray to be something else. Its gonna burn his soul
:duck:The only ones rewritin history and livin in a fantasy world are you HHH hatin smarks butthurt that his legacy has gotten bigger in the last decade plus, like it or not he is god status at this point and is only gonna get even more godlike once he takes over from Vince which is gonna burn you smarks souls.:mspaintcamumad:

He's also ultra-competitive....there is no way having the WOAT post-career out of all the "GOATs" doesn't burn him a little...those are his contemporaries and peers and they have all turned the WWE thing into very lucrative ventures post-wrestling except for him...i mean, he's doing fine but not on those guys level

-Austin was never gonna be a major politics guy like HHH, or be a corporate worker.

-He was NEVER EVER gonna be a Good Morning America-ish guy like Cena. C'mon...

-the only case to be made is Rock outdid him in the movie realm. But damn, Rock is the most popular male movie star in the past 20 years. Hogan at his most massive popularity in the 80's/90's STILL couldn't break into movies/TV successfully. Rock is just a special case. If Rock continues this another few years, he's gonna have possibly the greatest movie run of any male actor EVER.

In the end, Austin has money. Live in Cali and has a ranch in Texas. Drives an old ass Bronco and has a 4-wheeler. Life is good for him.

You mean in wrestling right?

No.

I'm thinking ever.

Yeah, alot of guys have had longer careers spread out over time, but who's ever had just movie after movie after movie, tv shows, etc all running concurrently like Rock has the past 10-15 years? And they're all BIG projects. Nobody thought Rock would last this long with no signs of slowing down.

Not Stallone, not Arnold, not Will Smith, not Harrsion Ford, etc.

I wouldn't put him there because I'm including every male actor, which is also guys like Denzel and Tom Hanks and DDL. If you want to say one of the greatest action runs cool, but Rock isn't competing for awards yet. If he gets to that level where we're putting trophies like oscars or SAG awards or BAFTAs on his mantle, then that's a whole new ballgame

End of Thread.

Austin has ALWAYS been a Blue-Collar Texan. He is PERFECTLY happy doing what he wants to do. He has money and a large amount of land, hosting content which suits him well on CMT. Don't let Hollywood fool you, that shyt is MORE TOXIC than the WWE, because at least Vince is honest while you have Agents that will backstab you once you develop wrinkles or don't draw money like your use to.
No. Vince isn't honest. Bret Hart anyone? Owen Hart anyone? Lol. Vince is ultra cut throat..that's why WCW is gone today.
