Eddie griffin did an interview with Vlad and said he was getting $800k a week while on the show, but said liked it less than standup because the executives would constantly undercut what he wanted to do on a comedic level.
Not all these actors on tv are eating and if u black then u really not eating...Especially if u on a show that randomly don't do good in ratings...like Syfi channel
I think blackish kids get like $20,000 a episode and Traci Ellis Ross get $80,000 then that might be decent but still u have agents and taxes, then u better be trying to get gigs elsewhere

Yep but the only thing those royalty checks reduce more and more as the years go by. Think it has to do with the show not being in syndication as much.

I've been trying to get mine for two years. But if you live in a big city where a lot of shows are filmed at like l.a. Atl. ny or Chicago you might fare better.
Now as far as making it big, .............idk
but just from looking at some these actor's bios (esp black actors) it seems like the most efficient avenue to get noticed is to audition for a big nationally renowned theater company (or a regional theater company) OR to audition for a reputable drama program at a university. A lot of agents scout for talent at these plays. And then taking a classes with renown teachers of course.This is much better than just packing up to l.a. And going to a bunch of auditions.
But, a lot of it is luck and connections.
They're getting ripped off but they should be able to renegotiate better. Taraji makes $175k an episode on empire and Kerry makes $250k per for Scandal

I know people who are still waiters or working retail gigs here in L.A. and this is like the last 5 to 10 years still trying out for auditions even if it is a small role of just walking across the street saying hi..
