#Fact most people dont get thier lives on track until age 30. And for alot of people they still dont get it by then. A low wage job is not exactly where you want to be..especially when you see so many others around you with better paying jobs...better car..clothes.etc. But here is the thing..it is still a job. So stay on your grind. In the meantime look for opportunities to get better pay. Apply for higher paying jobs...and be relentless with it. If you cant get in through a front door..go through the back one.

Everyone's experience is different. I completely changed career paths and now run a company that makes 100K annually. It wasn't easy but it wouldn't have been easy at any stage. It's never too late to follow your dream. Don't let rhetoric keep you from happiness. Late 20s is no where near old BTW.

This is a cautionary tale to anyone considering dropping out of school unless you have a way better opportunity

I'm 28. I'm in a class getting hands on experience to get my CCNA. I missed out on all the fun of my early 20s

Having a low wages job will influence your social circle, your romantic prospects, and your outlook on life

As soon as I get a real job I won't know what to do with the money...cuz I've been used to poverty for so long

I feel
:flabbynsick:

You come from a single family home? Most likely you didn't go to school because you felt it wasn't important but More-so you were protected in your environment so you were having fun without it, hood stuff will have you living in a fantasy and when reality hits it's on. At you at the age people go their own ways so real life is kicking in right now. You're behind the curve I am too and it does effect everything you do. You can't fukk with certain people and they know that, they'll slim with you on some fun and games stuff but that's it cuz you not on their level.

I can go very deep on this but most people will just say I'm miserable or whatever so I'll just leave it alone but for example my people in real life say you are who you are the problem is they won't mess with you on some serious shyt but slum for a bit. So really they just want happy broke nikkas to drink and play games with them walk away like it's nothing and go back to living business.

28 is young you got time to just quit a shytty job and by the time you 35 you should be good especially if you got no bills like that.

Nah
My parents both had good jobs
Then things got tough as my mom left hers
I feel they weren't involved enough
I'll definitely try to put my kids in some group activities

and you were out with the fellows alot? chilling, hanging out....

that's a shield, that's not reality that's what I meant.

women see bum nikkas when they see that, that Phil Jackson "posse" statement really means childish men with no direction who value things that don't bring long term assets or satisfaction, women, cars, bougie stuff with no long term meaning. That's what meant it racist, it was a backhanded compliment.

You just see things differently now cuz you're older.

I think you've this mindset basically because you're too fixated on your age. For a guy, life begins at 30 and age is nothing but a number, unless you're in your mid-40s. You're still 28 and you can always catch-up on all the fun you think you missed out on because it's never too late to start.

Most of the folks who had "fun" in their 20s are most likely bored of it now and all the "fun" you think you missed out on, is a thing of the mind. At least, you've started doing something decent now - you need to focus on that. And let whatever you feel right now be the catalyst/inspiration to propel you to greater heights.

Also, over 80% of the world's population have been in poverty all their lives...so that shouldn't even bother you. We all just live in a world ruled by capitalism, where success/status is measured by the size of your pocket. And subconsciously, it affects how we view things. Just focus on the plans you've set out for yourself now - and make towards moving yourself to a better space

I think it's pretty much over if by the time you're 25 you don't:
Own your own house
Travelled around the world
Finished your education
Smashed countless women
Settled on your career and quickly advancing
Settled down with the woman you'll be spending the rest of your life with.

If you haven't done any of these then a life of shytflessness and poverty will be your lot.
:rudy:what about people who joined the military right out of high school? I get out when I turn 24 so I don't see how it's "over" for me:camby:
