It is really insulting that Trish and Lita think they were held back

Trish and Victoria had two really good hardcore matches. one of them i remember the finish had to be changed. It was supposed to be Victoria winning by smashing a mirror over Trish's head, but there was a spot where one of their feet had accidentally hit the mirror beforehand, so Victoria just suplexed her and ended the match :russ:

I would think so, she was wrestling Victoria. Victoria's workrate outshines Trish. Trish isn't touching her in workrate. Victoria's one of the most underrated women in wrestling in the WWE past and present. I've never seen her in a bad match.

What it is, her era of women didnt get branded

New talent its "revolutionary" when they did it, it was just women have good matches. Nothing more, guess i understand being salty in that aspect

They got to have a main event championship match on RAW. That was NEVER done before and it's not happening now.

Pretty sure the women have had the ending/main event segment on Raw once or twice in the past couple years, no?

Trish was basically Nikki Bella in the 90s. Not good but a lot better than when she started i.e. cant even run the ropes. Lita could do a couple lucha moves which everybody acted like was incredible, which I guess it kinda was back then when the other girls' matches consisted of pulling each other's hair and seeing who could rip the opponent's clothes off first. They were super over, but then so was everyone. Overall its consistent with the men in that the average workrate of today blows away what it was back then, which helps a bit to offset all of the other handicaps that wrestlers today have to deal with (bad writing, bad booking, micromanagement, PG handcuffs, the world being a different place, etc)

Nah you guys are talking about moves and transitions and psychology then sure obviously Sasha and them are better but what Lita and Trish did what the current women haven't yet done is have a great BRAWL. At the end of the day Trish/Lita/Stephanie were brawlers and they beat the shyt out of each other. It came across on screen like they really hated one another.

I haven't seen that yet with this new crop so it's not like Trish and Lita are making false claims. They had a different style but it worked.

Whut,....

Trish, lita and Steph were horrible strikers outside of one good Trish forearm.
we waited her whole inring career to be good at maybe throwing in a match later on.

I didn't mention their striking. They threw each other around in and out of the ring and then back into the ring again.. it was a sense of "chaos" and desperation that they brought into their matches. There was a level of intensity. That's what I meant with the brawling statement. Not the actual punches

Agree. Lita was a botchfest and looked awkward at so many things she did. Trish was the best of that era, and would still be considered good today but would be closer to Nikki Bella's level rather than Charlotte, Bayley, Sasha, etc. Not sure how either was held back. There just wasn't any real talent back in those days in the Divas division to have competitive matches and Trish and Lita were pushed hard as hell throughout the Attitude era as characters.

Trish was a decent worker in an era where the majority were garbage. Asuka, Charlotte, Sasha, Becky, Bayley, Nattie and maybe even Nikki Bella are all better than Trish in the ring. Would Trish be a women's champion at her peak today? Of course she would because she's got the look & the character. But she was not a hands down better wrestler than those other women.
