It just occurred to me...I've never flown first class. It is worth the extra $$$?

It’s a dangerous ass combo going from the centurion lounge straight into first class since there’s no wait and your boy already being SAUCED coming out the lounge only to get additional free drinks on the plane. :whew:

I got told by an air hostess that just because the drinks are free, it doesn't mean I have to drink them all :russ:

Obviously first class is a step above but it’s not worth the price difference from business. But from economy to business is a huge upgrade and difference which are less so from business to first, imo. There’s a reason why airlines got rid of first class internationally. There’s still some amazing first class cabins like Singapore airlines which is known as the best with their private rooms. You have to be wealthy or have a shyt load of points.

Depends. If they not giving you the reclining seats, TV, and restaurant level food the cost aint worth it.

Delta is a toss- up, I have flown in first class and it was just bigger seats from the regular ones.
But overall its always better than regular seats especially if its a long ass flight.
Don't get me wrong, I've flown plenty of times since I was a kid.

But it's always been cheap flights, in fact I usually fly Spirit :heh: or Southwestern. Just never seen a point in paying extra, especially for a domestic flight that's only going to be a few hours. Then again, I haven't been a huge traveler thus far and really only travel on holidays to occasionally visit fam.

So my question to the coli...do you fly coach or first class? And if you do fly first class, was it worth it?

Seems like it's the same other than just more leg room and maybe a meal.

A step up in what way?

Ive flown First and business on United and Delta.

in both instances you get complimentary drinks, and the same meals. but in business you get to lie down and switch out. at this point "first" and "business" just seem like marketing terms.

Delta and united do not have first class on international flights anymore, unless you’re talking about domestic. The more differentiated first class products are on airlines like Singapore where you get a private hotel room with a king sized bed so I would say that’s quite differentiated. Is it worth the price? In my opinion, no. But yeah it’s why airlines got rid of first class, it’s not much different for most airlines.
