It's sad knowing that the young breh (Will Hanlon) will grow up and end up dying in a horrific tragedy

From what I've seen in some of the spoiler/easter egg videos, it seems pretty much every single one of the 'main' kids might be already fated to be dead by the time of the movies.

This show makes me wish someone like Mike Flannagan would take over King's shyt and make a universe of connected shyt. Tvs and Movies. Never read any of the books but always heard/read how all the shyt is connected and characters from other shyt pop up into random shyt.

One day somebody might pay his shyt the proper just due. Hollywood so oblivious to having the next *MCU* on their hand that could culminate with a proper Dark Tower series (movie or show) as the tentpole. That would be too much like right tho and prolly way too much work than mfs wanna put in.

The way it's all connected is loose though. There may be characters and locations that are referenced elsewhere or show up in other places, but they don't combine to do much of anything other than cameos. It's pretty much like every other shared universe outside of the MCU.

Dark Tower is the main connector but that flopped. The best attempt was Castle Rock, but that also flopped. But it was someone trying to tell a story with all of the interconnecting references. I liked it though.

Mike Flanagan Reveals the Annoying Reason His Long-Awaited Stephen King Adaptation Cannot Be Faithful to the Novels

Mike Flanagan is still working on the Dark Tower Series that might also have movies. It's just taking a while because its a lot of material to cover, and a lot of the interconnecting characters are owned by different studios.

The IT part 1 & 2 did Mike dirty.

Super dirty. Changing his character and making Ben the town historian and the smart one in the group instead of him was fukked up.

These are the Easter eggs I’ve seen so far:
1. dikk Halloran- The Shining
2. Red car seen in last episode- possibly Christine
3. Cockadoodie was said by one of the dead kids- Misery’s Annie uses this word as a swear
4. Indigenous people lurking in the woods watching the military- Pet Semetary. They might be digging too close to ancient burial ground
5. Reference to Shawshank prison- Shawshank Redemption

Easter Eggs I’m waiting for/looking forward to:
1. More Pet Semetary
2. The TommyKnockers
3. Needful Things

It would also be cool to see a reference to neighboring King towns like Salem’s Lot and the town Carrie destroyed.





They burned in what is known as the Black Spot Fire, a racially motivated arson that killed dozens of Black Derry residents. The show is doing a great job of building up to this incident. You can feel a constant thread of racial tension that keeps ramping up.

To add on:
-Turtle/Maturin throughout the show (Dark Tower)
-Alvin Marsh name on the girl's bathroom
-Danny Boy cans in the grocery store (The Shining)
-the 3 boys jumping the kid in town...not sure but I think they're the 3 boys from "Sometimes They Come Back"

I'm sure its a ton more I'm missing.

I just realized ol boy is dikk Hallorann from The Shining and Carl Lumbly plays him in Doctor Sleep.

Finally watched episode 2 last night. Grocery store scene was cool. The bedroom mom/monster scene was crazy too (two episodes, two "birthing" scenes ). The fact that we're two episodes in with no clown and it's still this engaging is a good thing. Bradley Gang car is def a cool reference.

I'm assuming the Black Spot is where the soldiers went after the bar scene in episode two

Oh interesting, this actually made me look it up and it seems that Mike's parents did die in a house fire that was racially motivated. Damn.

So apparently 3 seasons are planned and they all going back in time to It awakenings, 1935 and 1908:

In that military scene where they show Hanlon what they doing, bunch of references to Pennywise's past feedings.
Car is most likely from the bradley gang shootout in 1935.

So seems like the other seasons will focus on the big massacres which makes me question what big massacre happens for this season
