Only idiots believe the hype over this virus. In 2018 61,000 people died from the flu in the US alone.

I am not being alarmist but people have discussed this many times and here are the differences:

1. There is a flu vaccine so the flu death numbers are lower due to people sometimes receiving protection from vaccination.
2. There are more deaths (2%) though most are elderly. However, the serious/critical ratio is way higher than flu which is why hospitals in Asia are slammed

#1 + #2 is also why the flu deaths amongst health care workers is much lower. How many doctors/nurses/hospital directors die each year from the flu?
