It sucks that Prince never allowed his songs to be played on YouTube

I understand and completely respect his choice to protect his music. But you have a whole generation of people who just think he's the weirdo from the Dave Chappelle show skit and don't know he's a musical genius. A lot of kids solely got exposed to older artists through YouTube/the Internet

Yep, unlike Michael or Stevie his songs aren't easily accessible for the younger generation who never grew up on his music.

Word, I edited my title because his legacy remains in tact no matter what. But my point still stands

Not only Youtube, but anywhere else besides the radio pretty much.

That's why I ain't really fukk with that nikka:pacspit:. Cost me p*ssy multiple times.

I bring one of my lil freak joints over my house. We get to kissing and shyt and when it's time to turn on the music I go to YouTube and try to pull up some romantic Prince shyt, but Everytime I click on a video it's copyrighted. So by now 15 mins done gone by of me trying find purple reign & the lil freak joint puts her clothes back on and bounces :mjcry:.

Yeah i never listened to a lot of prince growing up and then when i wanted to his music was nowhere to be found.

Which is crazy because he has tons on sampled songs where i've never heard the original. He didn't do a good job of gaining new generations of fans like other stars.

A random woman singing "When Droves Cry" on the F Train years ago put me on to Prince, his music was on Spotify, but it was taken down when he made his deal with Tidal

I was in the mood to listen to Prince a few months ago on Spotify, couldn't find his stuff. Then i learn he was really stingy with it. Had to go out of my way to find a low quality version of some of his songs.:wtb:

fukk those kids.

Prince is the winner for not whoring out his life's work like everyone else.

nikka ain't make that music for people to listen to free, they can either buy it, use tidal or :yeshrug:
