This episode kinda lost me.
Hallorann seeing Russo at the end. Why?
What was the box story with Hallorann?
Them Indians talking about there will soon be peace for 20 somer years. Meaning?
The box is a reference to Doctor Sleep. Danny(the son from the shining) was being hunted by a bunch ghosts from the Overlook(Hotel from the shining). Halloran showed him a trick to help Danny deal with them, the box. Halloran's grandfather beat him and his grandma. When he finally died, he thought he was free of the abuse, but he was wrong. Since Halloran had the shining gift, his grandfather came back as a ghost to continue tormenting him. His grandma showed him the box trick to lock the grandpa away. Danny uses that trick to lock away the ghosts tormenting him from the Overlook.
Think of the box like a pokeball for evil pokemons. Seems w/e Halloran had locked in his, was set free. Presumably the grandpa. Here's the scene of him explaining it.
Im guessing it(w/e was in the box, not Pennywise) took control of Russo before he was fully dead. Which is why he had the gray skin and white eyes at the end.
yep the way he came out of the tent was a dead giveaway
NO CAP
I THOUGHT MATTY WAS
PENNYWISE THE WHOLE TIME

Yea, from the way the first episode went, aint no way he survived. He had the pacifier in his mouth and the demon baby crashed the window and all you saw was the pacifier in the air, covered in blood.
Then when he said Pennywise sleeps in the day. Lily got attacked in the day time in the supermarket. Marge shyt happened in the daytime too.
Then when they popped the percs or w/e, Matty was acting like nothing was wrong with him while the others were woozy and shyt lol.
Pennywise did play the "I wont go to the police because I dont want to go back to my dad" thing right and was hesitate enough to not want to go back to the sewers til Lily pressured him to
Speaking of the sewers, where the hell Taniel go![]()

I know it’s going to be different as they clearly changed some of the timeline up but they imagery is still insane. I wonder if they’ll show it.Yep. I can't remember if it was this series or one of the recap vids I watched that stated it but he tries to scare people because the fear makes them taste better(cortisol or some shyt gets released in the body). He can eat you w/o all the theatrics if he wanted to.So a lack of fear might protect you from the illusions that Pennywise sends at you, but it won't do ANYTHING to stop a giant monster physically chomping down on you.
Yeah, Pennywise doesn't need fear to eat/kill you. Fear is basically just "seasoning his food".Now that we've seen Pennywise lie about his own limitations, I'm realizing that there's another 'misconception' about Pennywise out there that is putting more potential victims in danger:
People seem to be under the impression that a lack of fear would make you 'immune' to Pennywise, but this is something that is obviously untrue.
I think the misconception that the characters have is that Pennywise is some kind of specter or "non-physical" being that can only affect people in their minds, kind of like Freddy Krueger in the dreamworld.
But I think this episode kind of emphasized that Pennywise is a REAL solid physical shape-shifting creature, that has real teeth that can really bite you and really physically rip you apart.
Sure, he can use mental power to make you see illusions that are not there....but there's some real, solid, physical 'thing' that is slithering through the pipes like a worm then morphing into a clown after it comes out of a drain.
So a lack of fear might protect you from the illusions that Pennywise sends at you, but it won't do ANYTHING to stop a giant monster physically chomping down on you.
There's something out there that's been referenced in the OG series and in the 2017 reboot. Referenced a lot this season as well but I don't know if they'll get into that. Stephen King verse is ripe for a true universal series but the writes and licensing issue will always keep potential lowYep. I think the vid also said he could kill the whole town if he wanted to as well. He doesnt because he doesnt want to draw too much attention to derry from outside forces. Whether that be police/military or w/e else exists in Stephen King's universe that could mess with him.
Loving the lore the show brings. Like it saying Pennywise's waste when he feeds contaminates the water supply. That's the reason all the adults act so weird at times.

Curious how much Amazon has. Flanagan just handled the Carrie TV series and doing Dark Tower next. Maybe Amazon got most of King's rights and Flanagan the head of itThere's something out there that's been referenced in the OG series and in the 2017 reboot. This is what has me confused in real time. I saw his hand on the gun and figured maybe a kid would still get shot. How tf he ended up getting shot when he already moved it. Ionno, shyt was a goofy way to get where we gotIn what world is it easier/quick for Russo to run in front of the gun instead of extending his hand and knocking the gun away/down
Mushetti did that bullshyt tallman thing again and the "ran at camera" shyt 3x
Other than that, decent episode.
edit: His hand was on the gun lmao

Yea, they shouldve just had him a few feet in front of Hanlon and it wouldve made the scene a lot more smoother. This is what has me confused in real time. Agree…I can’t do those types of scenes anymore since becoming a parent. The shytty CGI in this show is saving it from crossing the line for meIt’s a good movie but a rough watch. A lot of violence against children and they show it too. Saw it once and probably won’t watch it again and I’m a king fan but there’s a scene that’s almost too much
