Nice nod to the book with the bird/monster hybrid thing Penny turned into before they sealed the cage. Also loved the post-credit (her hair is still winter fire ).

The last three episodes or so, they gave up on the shytty CGI and let Penny cook. fukking great show. Can't wait for them to run it back.

And hopefully through the success of this first season, The Dark Tower series gets that much more backing over on Prime.

Yeah, they gotta tighten up on some of the writing for next season, but for now, I'm overlooking it lol. Once I watch again & really sit with it, and unpack, I'm sure I'll have my gripes, lol. But overall, as a whole, I think it was an above avg offering.

I'm curious how much it'll change the way I view IT part 1 in a re-watch

Poetic that Pennywise is pretty much the author of his own demise.

Fantastic season. It’s hard to create a prequel based of beloved finished material while keeping the story fresh for fans and engaging for non-fans.

The frozen lake scene got a little too goofy for me, from frozen Pennywise, to the overly drawn out 10 mins it took to get the shard in the ground, to the goofy ass ambush of the now only 3-4 army guys, to only Taniel dying…just a lot of lack of continuity in the rules and “logic” (I say that in quotes…don’t quote me with stupid shyt on some “we’re watching an alien clown…durrr”). They also ODed in spelling out the time travel thing and why we’re going backward each season, but I guess it’s better to get ahead of the dummies.

It’s also a let down to see the Hanlon’s were thinking like stupid white people in not leaving and that’s why they’re there later on…everyone else black bounced, cmon sons!

Anyway, was a decent finale, but man, it started on 10 and ended at like a 7. Overall dope series tho…see yall in like 3 years

Until he succeeds in season 3 which will allow them to reset a new movie franchise in whatever present time based on him not being defeated in the past, they can then milk the IP the way they’ve done the conjuring

Charlotte's decision to have the family stay in Derry will end up being costly for her and Will. The only Hanlons still alive during the time of It: Chapter 1 (2017) are Leroy and Mike (Will's son). So Charlotte is most likely dead, and Will ends up dying in a fire with his wife



I was wondering how they were going to make seasons 2 and 3 of this show interesting. Pennywise going back in time to try and stop his demise is a good way to keep me hooked

Not really. He has a strong shine, but after seeing doctor sleep, it’s clear there are levels to this. Abra woulda faded Pennywise before it even got to needing to replace a pillar at the last minute, especially if she shows up as an adult.
