I guess if there is a season 2 / chapter 2 it’ll be in ‘88 with adult versions of the kids

As the poster said above, it's goin backwards. If you remember that car they dug out the ground in one of the earlier episodes(one where a military dude chewed out Halorann and was like "you really dont do anything"), season 2 would cover that. It was from a big massacre/ shootout in Derry. That's why there were guns in that car. I imagine it would also be in that time period where Ingrid fed Mabel to Pennywise and she first saw he was her dad.

A S3 would cover that period when Ingrid was a child and you see the flashback with the indians and General Shaw as a child. That would be the fire at some factory that took out a bunch a people.

That's if shyt gets renewed, which is doubtful right now with WBD being bought by Netflix. Could be 2 years before shyt even gets renewed which means another 2 years to shoot and release

I don't think they show what happens to Bowers in the new adaptation but I don't see why it would be different from the other two
