yeah that's why i was thrown off when they had that shot of the school as high school...cause they look way too young

I didn't actually remember that shot from the show.
I just tried to look it up and I found the Steven King fan wiki here:

That says:
"Derry High School is a location and a combined junior-senior high school in Derry, Maine that appeared in the 1986 novel It, the 1990 miniseries adaptation and the 2017 theatrical movie adaptation as well as its 2019 sequel. Not only it applies to students aged between 11 and 18, but grades between 6 and 12 as well."

So...although it has "High School" in the name, the town is so small that its both Junior High and High School in one building.

Is bill reprising his role of pennywise in this?he ain’t got shyt else to do lol
From one of the breakdown vids I saw, I think he is. They mentioned how Muschetti failed with the flash and how Bill failed with Eternals and this like a personal project/ :"get right" thing for both of them. Bill an executive producer as well for the show.

*You have to have a strong will to leave Derry. If you do manage to leave, Pennywise "curses" you with prosperity that way you never come back. This is why all the loser's club members in the movies grew up to be successful.
He gave the Losers prosperity so they wouldn't come back because they beat him the first time.

Enjoyed ep 2 much more than the 1st.

The Muschietti cgi is the one thing marring the horror scenes. The final scene in the pilot could have been a classic if they went practical instead of that signature plastic looking vfx.

This episode was better for me in regards to character development and getting me vested in some of them. I am now super interested in trying to find a TLDR pod or video about how Stephen King’s worlds connect (cuz I sure don’t ain’t reading all his stuff nor rewatching all the films based on his works)

They could do better with the CGI.

But show does have its good moments.
