What's life like in Italy for Black men?

Spent a month and a half there last year (visited Rome and Venice), and literally the only non-tourist black people I saw were beggars who lingered outside of stores hat in hand. Italy is very homogeneous racially and it's hard to imagine a black man (especially one from the US) liking it outside of how cheap the food & wine is. The women aren't attractive, the public transportation's somewhat shytty and unreliable, and a lot of things there just don't make sense in terms of how they operate. Rome definitely feels a full step below cities like London, Barcelona, and Berlin in terms of development. It just felt like a dirty place overall with hard, haggard-looking people. Venice is amazing but somewhere to go with wifey instead of solo.

Never made it to Milan, though, and I've heard it's a bit better.

The thread proves that Americans are rightfully the stupidest people. Italy is just not as developed compared to other developed nations in the West. But calling it a third world nation is the silliest shyt ever. Latin America, Africa and certain Asian countries are third world. Plus third world is such a dated term.

I think people are just rightfully shocked that one of the cradles of western civilization is kinda backwards.

I'm actually going to live there, I'm hearing a lot of mixed reactions from my coworkers that been there and they are saying a lot of what people are saying here.

However I've been a few places and have learned not to trust random strangers from americas negative opinion it's almost always biased

Feelings caught :lolbron: :krs: :laff: What's awesome is the awakening that's going on in this thread. Negroes starting to see all that movie sh*t is hella overrated. Greece is a sh*tty country, I was in Costanza in Romania and didn't get the hype, Poland was meh. Northern Europe is definitely nice (Switzerland, Sweden, etc) but most of Europe is WAAAAY overrated. I would much rather be in DR or Vietnam or Costa Rica or Ecuador than I would in Europe. Pretty much that's why hella Europeans are leaving Europe :heh:

athens is cool tho, but the best part of greece is the islands, but they are still apart of greece so you cant say its not the same.

Also people are leaving cause of money issues if anything. Spain Portugal, france are all nice.. I wouldnt say overrated

That was virtually also my experience (Rome).

Yes, for a solo gay Milan is probably the best choise...
Next time also don't skip Florence which is another special pearl like Venice, and as far as the Southern Italy is concerned in like september (july is too hot, and august too crowded) my favourites are Sardinia, Salerno and Salento.
Outside of Italy, my favorite places are Prague and Malta.

It's funny how stereotypes and perceptions go, I had a similar shock visiting the US the previous Christmas, for the first time after 1990.
California used to have really beautiful people, and now an incredible amount is crazy fat and without teeth.
There is still almost no public transportation even after 26 years, but I was mostly shocked how bad the highways looked compared to Italian (26 years before it was the opposite).
Bad lighting, not enough of vertical signs, almost no horizontal signalization, short exits... Everything seemed to be done on cost reduction instead of quality. The only positive was the lack of automatic average speed tracking systems lol

I'm used to using a navigator only after the highway, but in the US it was impossible to survive without...
I guess you have bad traffic engineering expertise lol

Despite the recent crisis, Italian infrastructure developed in the last 26 years, there are now fast arrow trains and great highways.
I'm not so sure about California and the US...

Hilarious because this was exactly my reaction the entire time...
