I loved Italy. But it does have a third world feel to it. It's part of the charm I feel. It's pretty different from Anglo countries.

What exactly does Italy produce...?

I am talking resources that people need e.g oil, minerals, natural gas, produce, livestock and etc...

In fact, what the hell does Europe produce in terms of natural resources...I know Russia got oil...

I don't know anything about Italy except from articles in the Economist but from reading those I have zero clue how Italy manages to function as a country. I guess it doesn't really.

Italy has olive oil, produce, wine, fiat, some manufacturing, um... it has a ridiculous start/federal government that rivals France's yet somehow manages to be less effective.

If you look at Europe as a whole it has more diverse and larger industries than America

@mbewane where about did you spend most of your time?

Check your sources breh, if you only follow angosaxon media you'd think latin countries are all hellholes.

I lived a year and a half in Ancona (Marche region), visited a lot of the country (Rome, Milano, Venezia, Torino, Lucca, Pisa, Firenze, Catania, Bologna...)

The Economist has good international political coverage. Obviously u take it with a grain of salt but they still have good info.
