It's a shame what R&B music has become when you think about what it use to be

they took the guitar from us, now they takin r&b. I have to give dude credit on the radio. The other guys were talkin about who the greatest guitarists are/were, and they just kept mentioning the same white rock guitarists. The older white guy was like, that list is a lot of honky. He was like, where did the guitar go in r&b and soul? He mentioned a lot of names and groups where they used to kill it with the guitar riffs.

There are still some GREAT young black guitarists who do soul/R&B/gospel.

Lists of great guitarists are usually bullshyt popularity contests.

Nobody took R&B. People can go pick up a guitar and play it if they want to. Why arent they doing it?
