It's absolutely the right time to talk how Andrew Wiggins is still an average basketball player

Empty points when a Wiggins team is 25 games below .500 and playoffs teams are getting up for the playoffs.

Their favorite part of the year is the offseason when games aren't being played at all. That's the time they all cyber-gather and wax poetically about how Wiggins will take a huge leap when next season starts.

low key, what you're sayin has truth to it despite how much many will disagree. I remember Wiggins closing out last season VERY strong and the talk was that he as gonna make a LEAP this season. While he improved, he still didn't do what a lot of people pegged em to do. Next year there are no excuses

I think people are being very hard on him.

Wiggins is at 21PPG, shooting better from the field and also getting to the line more and he just turned 21. The real question is who do the Timberwolves draft next? Rubio cannot shoot...he will never be able to shoot well, but he is a great distributor and works well with that offense. I think you have to take Simmons if you are the timberwolves and try to move Rubio via a trade to a dumbass team like the Knicks.

Coming out of high school/coming into the NBA people were calling him a transcendent player a la Kobe/Jordan/LeBron/KD etc.

Obviously he wasn't going around saying those things and I'm not saying it's fair, but it's not really shocking why people are expecting so much out of him when he was getting those comparisons.
