It's absolutely the right time to talk how Andrew Wiggins is still an average basketball player

Coming out of high school/coming into the NBA people were calling him a transcendent player a la Kobe/Jordan/LeBron/KD etc.

Obviously he wasn't going around saying those things and I'm not saying it's fair, but it's not really shocking why people are expecting so much out of him when he was getting those comparisons.
He still has a shot to be a transcendent player tho.
I know the bar was set high but people have deluded themselves into thinking he's an average to below average player yet he's the 4th youngest player to reach 3000 points only behind Bron, Melo, and Kd. And he did so more efficiently than all of them but KD:yeshrug:

Ehh...I personally never bought into that hype. Coming out of college I thought he'll be an all-star but didn't think he'd be transcendent, and he hasn't really done much to change my stance.

It's still early though, so he still has a lot of time.

I think he still has a shot. I think we'll know by next year. Not every transcendent star comes out like Lebron or Jordan:francis:

Obviously the safer bet would just be star but andrew has physical gives that dont come around that often. Only thing that will limit him is if he has that drive, which we havent seen yet
