That's not quite true. at least from what I've noticed.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure there are a number of prominent gay individuals who backed up their talk with money. Also, being gay is an issue that affects White people, while being Black does not.
Gay people have always had money. They didn't get rights until the general public began to agree with them, and politicians realized it was no longer politically beneficial to deny their rights.

1. What is your point? Forcing someone to do something does not mean they helped you. If we did nothing else and just voted it wouldn't have happened. And I am STILL waiting on these laws.

2. Typical emotional responses. Might as well be telling me to go Africa if I don't think america is great.

3. I'm sorry we weren't? So black wall street and the hundreds of other black communities, businesses and schools didn't exist now?

4. Show some stats because what I provided says differently.

5. I'm doing what I do. This is about the singular effect of voting, nothing else.

1. It doesn't mater if they like you or they enact policy out of the goodness of their hearts. It only matters if they pass laws that benefit you or not.

And are you really asking for laws that have benefited black people?

2. Take action

3. Yes they existed. But that was it. The average black family was poor and fukked up.

4. Why the Growth of Black Businesses is Skyrocketing

5. People who disparage other people's actions, are usualy not active themselves. You are so against voting, there must be an alternative you are active in.

Too many people died to give me the right to vote for me to sit home. I always vote. Even if you don't like national candidates do yourself a solid and figure out who your state/local representatives are. Figure out who is on your school boards, and whether they're voting to ban African American literature like a lot of boards are in the south. Figure out who your sheriff is and what his opinions are on bodycams.

In truth, this isn't a "Kendrick Lamar fan" thing.
A lot of people are apathetic to the political process and don't seem to
desire to vote or keep up with who is doing what.

I disagree with the idea that being involved does not work, THAT"S BULLshyt.
Latino's and LGBT types have directly influenced government no different than black
people have in the past. What needs to happen is we need another generation that believes
change is possible and isn't jaded because of what happened in the 70's,80's and 90's or even
as recently as THIS decade.

Either way, this thread is dumb and it's another thread can't survive on it's own merits so the OP
uses "Kendrick Lamar" in the title to draw in the usual haters.

1. The point is voting didn't have them do it. And yes I am and I'm looking forward to you not answering again.

2. OK

3. And we're still vastly extremely poor and fukked up with no communities to show for it. Also you say the average black person was poor and fukked up but we owned just as much wealth in this country then as we do now and the average black person is struggling. That should tell those increases in business revenue are nothing but individuals and adjustments because we are still at a stagnant growth compared to when we had our own bustling communities. This is especially true when compared to other minorities and their comeups in this country.

So basically its like you saying you get paid 100k but the average pay is now a mil and you still broke.

And I didn't disparage anyone's actions I made a response to someone disparaging others for not following their specific action. I didn't come in here and tell people to stop voting I don't care if you do or don't but don't try to shame someone else into doing it.

1. Voting is what got people who were receptive to change into office.

3. No we aren't. The quality of life for the average black person is greatly improved compared to the past.

4. Again comparing us to everybody else. You made the claim that we had more businesses in the past. That is demonstrably false.

Comparing us to white people is misleading and doesn't really prove anything.

It’s clear that over the past 40 years, black businesses have grown more rapidly and into a wider array of industries, from tech and food services to engineering and financial services, than at any previous time in American history. This is due in part to barriers to capital, corporate contracts and government contracts being lowered or eliminated by anti-discrimination legislation and equal opportunity efforts as a result of the triumphs of the 1960s Civil Rights Movement, and the subsequent election of African-American mayors in major cities in the 1970 and 1980s (most notably, Mayor Maynard H. Jackson, Jr. in Atlanta).
Black business has grown as a direct result of black people taking part in the political process.
5. If you feel shame, it's because you should.

yes. That's how voting works, dummy. And not 'vote and forget'. Vote and continually hold the candidate accountable.

This smart-dumb "i aint gon vote because it da system" is the stupidest shyt ever. Almost all the people who say that aren't involved in their communities, don't give a fukk and certainly don't see the bigger picture.

I have friends who have worked on Capitol Hill, dislike Obama (yet voted for him because he was the lesser of two evils), are very involved in their communities and are actively trying to change the system. Point is, they understand the political process and are involved.

Fake-deeps from the sidelines aren't.
pretty good. now explain to us why you call yourself a biatch
