AI doesn't recognize humanity.
Bending the knee to it because of its "capabilities" based human inputs gone be the death knell.

I don't think AI will kill off many professions, I just think AI will make it so the elite of the elite are the only ones actually practicing those professions professionally.

Industries were already niching, but this is going to fragment industries into a thousand more pieces.

How is it going to do architect if it can't even get fingers in art right?

I actually think that'll be one of the last.

Not many people will be ok with a robot cutting them open. It'll take a long time for people to get over that.

Other engineering and STEM fields though? Yup.

one of the first places it'll likely see wide usage is on the battle field depending on how portable they can make it. once it's refined and vouched for by veterans and the military, society would accept it. another place is where people have little choice to no choice which is poorer countries.

Yet…that’s the key word I think you’re missing. It’s an ever evolving technology that gets smarter with each use. Eventually it will recognize humanity and start to integrate that into designs and processes and concepts.
