One of the first life lessons I learned as a kid.

White people can get by with mediocrity. I've talked about it a few times on here; I went from getting promoted twice in a year at one corporate job, to a new boss putting me on a performance plan once she took over the department. I had the biggest workload, biggest budget to manage, and I watched counterparts walk into operations meetings not knowing what the meeting was about, not having anything to provide to the meeting, and above all being late to that meeting.

I'm not saying I'm the smartest, and at times, I wasn't the hardest working...but watching some white people work and get by with bullshyt, and make 20-25% more than you is beyond frustrating.

It's their system though. We need to build our own system. I'm glad black people are starting to get there's in music and entertainment, but those jobs aren't as far reaching as manufacturing and service industry jobs. Black people need to start, own, keep, and employ their own within their businesses. I'm trying to do it...I have no clue wtf I'm doing, but hopefully in a year or two it'll be a decent side hustle and 5-10 years, who knows...

I work for FedEx. If you're a 6ft tall white dude they will promote you based on nothing else but that you're a 6ft tall white dude. They also hotshot attractive white women into office roles EXTREMELY fast. It's laughable how much of a like tv trope that shyt is but it's 100% accurate. They promote these dudes so fast they don't even know how anything works because they never spend any real time in the actual operations side of things. They all walk around here looking like car salesmen just saying "let's go!" and "teamwork make the dreamwork" all day.

The most frustrating thing though is they won't put any of the good jobs online the companies internal job site. They just hand pick white people to do those jobs. I've been meaning to dig into the ethics of this to see if it's illegal. If it's a shytty job, they'll put it on there, but the good shyt is saved for the "popular kids".

It's hiliarious how they say this when they know they have the system to their advantage and racism is in their favor. Easy to talk that "it's not about race" "work hard and you'll succeed" BS when you're not being discriminated against in every aspect of society and you know it's other white people doing it.

I worked for a bank in a college town a long time ago. Parent coming from all over the country to drop their kids off and move them into dorms. They stop by the bank to open an account for the kid and say “how much money do you think you’ll need for the semester?”

the kid is always zoned out on the phone or whatever so the parent says “I guess I’ll open the account with $50,000, that should be enough spending money until we come back for Christmas to visit you”

that shyt happened so much and here I am not even seeing that amount in a year but this MF’er bout to blow it on drinks at the bar. These are average C+ students that already have a job waiting for them after they graduate. These are the people running shyt now

I've been there done that, I had to completely leave a job because they had White guys coming in with less education and less experience and getting promoted for administration jobs ahead of me.

I'm talking about White guys that couldn't walk and chew gum half the time. That shyt was beyond frustrating.

I ended up having to leave that job and go elsewhere and to add insult to injury these other systems didn't want to hire a Black guy with no experience in administration at the time.

I ended having to take a job like an hour and half drive away in one direction in a very rough work environment just to get an administrative job.

A job at my current employer opened up a year later and I've been here since. Thankfully it worked out for me, but I'm sure there a lot of brothers and sisters that get frustrated and quit and it doesn't work out for them before their breakthrough.

My ex-coworker (who i mentioned before) never finished highschool and works a 6figure job cuz his mom went to school with the CTO

Shop or eat local and black when you can.

Every dollar we give to someone out of our race is us taking a tiny bit of power out of our community and putting it in theirs.

Of course we are forced to spend money to live but we need to be building at the same time.

We don't need fancy cars, we need capital. We need to invest in our own communities.

I always say that black people need to have at least one financial job that allows them to see how much wealth non black people actual have. It’s really mind blowing.
