I still dont understand the logic of a majority black sport having some white guy who lost like 5 finals as the leagues logo in 2015I don't understand the logic of saying an oversized Tee and baggy jeans are bad for the "game" (it isn't, it doesn't affect how players actually play) while we're all OK with flopping and the non-stop bytching on the court.

i dont think soHaha I'm a "If it ain't broken don't fix it" kind of guy but yeah I guess this could at least be a subject of discussion.
Have other leagues ever changed their logo? I have no idea![]()
Nopei dont think so
im half jokin half serious
but at some point Michael Jordan just NEEDS to be the logo
i think pretty much everyone would agree on that

It wasn't bad for the "game", but to people with last names such as "Stern" and similar, it was very bad for the "game." Gotta keep those white season ticket holders, television execs, and advertisers happy. For the same reasons Floyd Mayweather is hated by certain segments of the American populace, David Stern sought to "clean up" the NBA's image. It'd be impossible for them to completely goconsidering the makeup of the league, but you can't let the audience think the field-hands are without a master.
edit post: Stern's move paid off in the long run
