Pharrell was the one that got let go in the "one gotta go" thread.

Still, The Neptunes run started before 2001 especially when you have people on here that make cases for Mustard, Mike Will, etc. supposedly having legendary runs. Before 2001, The Neptunes had "Lookin' At Me" with Mase and "Superthug" with Nore. They went on to produce "Oh No" for Nore, "I Got Your Money" for ODB and several other songs on that album. By 2000, they were lacing hits for Jay Z, Mystikal, and Ludacris.

I cant deny facts,I'm struggling to separate the fact as a hiphop fan I didn't like they beats, from the fact they had a run....Don't think I can say the same about any other producer that gets the kindve credit the Neptunes get in hiphop....other great producers I have to acknowledge they all had that run where they had undeniable fire beats AND hits:wow:.

I guess I did like Girls Dem Sugar:francis:

But that might've been because of Mya:banderas:

Yes.

I mean honestly, look at Money Cash Hoes. Anyone could play those keys like that.

Simple as all hell, but it was dope.

And it didn't hurt that X was at his prime and he killed that.

"D M X and my dogs bite...":wow:

X carried a lot of weak producers on his back..

Back when I used to listen to hip hop more often until '03 I didn't really have a problem with the dude. :manny:

I'm sure he dropped off in terms of originality just like every other artist and producer. It's mainstream music in general. :mjcry:

:patrice:You know, It's funny how great rappers can make you tolerate production that's weak/mediocre....

DMX making us listen to Swizz Beatz and nobodies like Dame Grease (his name always annoyed me, smh)

Nas subjecting us to Salaam Remi (who is actually a great producer but has produced some of Nas's weakest stuff)

2Pac's pre-Deathrow albums

Eminem forcing us to listen to his awful production :scust:

Swizz is hit or miss but I'll take him over many of the C-tier and below producers y'all dikkride. He MURDERED Party Up. Even the "One...TWO... Meet me outside!" shyt was brilliant.

You hypin up that "Ya'll gon make me lose mind?" trash that has white people going nuts at parties is why you're the worst poster on here.
