LA has the best of everything for a famous millionaire. The fact that Dwight is considering another city outside of LA tells you how much he hates LA fans, Kobe, management and Pringles.

quoted for truth. this guy is on the verge of leaving $30 million extra dollars on the table, sunny california and one of the greatest franchises in sports. if it takes begging and pandering to get him to stay, his heart truly isn't in it and it's best to just cut ties with him completely.

thing is, lakers fans, the organization and especially kobe are so used to having their way that the thought of a player not wanting to play for the lakers leaves them:sadcam:

but it leaves the rest of the basketball world:blessed::lolbron::dj2:

One of my favorite pastime is to throw dirt on Tobean :pachaha:

But, you're absolutely right. I never thought I could hate a player more than Hobe, than I do with the Coward:pacspit:

Kobe shouldn't have to beg but he knows Dwight is his best shot at getting another title. So he should say that he wants Dwight back because it is the best thing for the Lakers and him at the moments. It may be true that the Lakers will have cap space in a couple of years but that doesn't matter to Kobe who is ready to win now and may not even be able to be a valuable contributor by time the Lakers are ready to contend again.

And this is the lakers biggest problem.

Every franchise has to go through it but they think they don't.

They are "too good" to rebuild. Which will leave them over the cap and not good enough.

Boston is smart, they'll be better off in the long run.

I think the Lakers FO knows they should have been thinking about rebuilding/retooling immediately after 2010 and going into full blown tank mode after getting their shyt pushed in by the Mavs in 2011 but they are hamstrung by the whole Kobe thing. As long as he is there, they are forced into win now mode even though it isn't realistic. Once he does limp away from the game, they probably still won't be ready because they're going to have to waste prime situations like having their books cleared in 2014 with having to acquire high priced aging veterans to fulfill Kobe's pipe dream of the Lakers contending.

all that might be true. but kobe's best shot at a ring right now is with dwight.

sometimes pride has to ride in the backseat.

I'm not a Kobe stan at all, far from it but this dude has five rings, hall of fame career, top 50 player of all time, played with the best/against the best.. why in the fukk would he need to bend over backwards and have to beg and plead Dwight to stay with the Lakeshow? plus Dwight can't stand his azz and vice-versa:childplease: Let Mitch and dem handle that jazz

I honestly think Kobe is putting on a front and trying to make it seem like this is what he wants when in reality he is smiling in the background saying i knew from day 1 he wasn't fit to be hear. However i think he would be thinking different if Phil Jackson was the coach and used him correctly. Look what he did with Shaq and whoever lol he made it work

I agree.. hell Mike Brown and his Princeton System was a better fit for the Lakers than D'antoni. Kobe didn't co-sign Brown so they booted him out and said he wasn't a big enough name for a team of that "caliber". But yeah I could see if Howard was never on the Lakers but just completed a full season with the team. Why recruit a player who was already on the team? Even Kobe knows the fans will still shyt on him next year even if he resigns, D'antoni will still favor uptempo ball and small lineups, and all the hype will be about Kobe's return and not Dwight. Its no win for dude in LA

Im just confused why the lakers think bringing dwight back is going to be any different then last year? I know he was coming back from an injury...but lets be reality...that teams not competing...even with a healthy kobe. And u cant really switch coaches at this point

If you go by the bulls front office moves, that is clearly working. Bulls aint doing shyt to really help him out. :youngsabo:

With that said, I don't think a young 23-24 year old kobe would try to sway any player to play with him. That's age though and rose will learn that for the most part it takes more than one great player surrounded by a bunch of 4th and 5th options to win a championship.

Most likely. At first, he was saying "hey Dwight, get me one more ring and then the franchise is yours". Then after they go through the Larry Holmes season from hell, Kobe is saying he's sticking around 3-4 more years. I'm sure Dwight can read between the lines on that shyt.

Atleast LA got to see dwight and see how well he would mesh with the team... The sixers got fukked over with bynum... He is another story....
