Another thing that's crazy Kobe teammates were all in their 20's and was on championship teams. But like 2 to 3 years later almost all of them was out the league or couldn't crack a rotation . Ariza is like the only one to have success on his own and even he attributed that success to Kobe.

Yup. Kobe made a lot of guys look better than they really were. Its crazy to think that Sasha Vujacic, Shannon Brown, Jordan Farmar, and Luke Walton were key rotation players on a team that won a championship. All 4 played 20+ playoff games.

That's crazy.

And then when you look at the fact Kobe had Pau Gasol as his second best player. A guy who was Chris Bosh level before he joined Kobe.

Imagine if Kobe had a D-Wade paired with him in addition to Gasol. That is why Kobe is superior to LeBron. He led a significantly less talented roster than Bron's Heat to back to back rings.

Pau anchoring a team :mjlol:

Any toughness he had playing with Kobe was gone as soon as Pringles took his soul away. Pau was a huge dissapointment in the Chi

Pau hadn't made an All-Star or All-NBA team in three years before coming to Chicago.

In 2015 Pau averaged 19-12-3 and 2 blocks a game, making the All-star team and being named 2nd-team All-NBA. He finished 7th in the NBA in blocks and 3rd in rebounds, his highest finish ever.

The next year in 2016, Pau averaged 17-11-4 and 2 blocks a game, once against making the All-Star team. He finished 4th in the NBA in blocks, his highest finish ever, and 7th in rebounds.

What the fukk were you expecting him to do in Chicago when you signed him for just $7 million/year, if that was a disappointment? :dahell:

Give me the quotes of who has said such a thing since his 3rd championship. Lebron's skill level hasn't stayed the same either.

Do you watch TV? Do you have YouTube? Go look it up yourself. Everyone here has posted the video of Stephen Jackson saying Kobe is better than LeBron on Undisputed a week ago. Chauncey Billups said the same on ESPN.

You must be pretending to be ignorant cause I swear I remember you posting in those threads.

That's quite an exaggeration - none of the guys you just named were in the top-6 of the Laker rotation or played more than 15 minutes/game.

The 2008 Celtics had 38yo P.J. Brown, 38yo Sam Cassell, Leon Powe and Glen Davis in those spots.

Hell, the 2011 Heat had Joel Anthony and a 2nd-year Mario Chalmers in their TOP FIVE. And the next year they were starting Norris Cole, Ronnie Turiaf, and Dexter Pittman in games.

That's crazy.

I see you ignored coaching there. And injuries. Of course.

A slightly less talented roster than 2013, but also significantly less talented competition. You have to compare like-to-like.

The Dallas Mavs who beat the Heat in 6 also washed Kobe's Lakers in 4 even though Kobe still had the same team he had had in 2010.

The Thunder who the Heat beat in the Finals in 2012 took care of business against Kobe's Lakers quite easily in just 5 games.

So obviously there was another step up in competition.

Back in 2008, Kobe and Pau got blown out in Game 6 against a Celtics team that Lebron had come a couple shots away from beating in 7 with a MUCH less talented roster.

In 2009, if the Magic don't hit both their game-winners, Lebron probably comes out ahead of them and goes to the Finals with a significantly less talented roster than the one you just bragged about Kobe getting a ring with. And that's even with having a team that didn't match up at ALL with the Magic.

And in 2010, Lebron lost in 6 to the same Celtics team that would have beaten Kobe's Lakers in 6 or 7 if they hadn't lost Perkins in Game 6, and once again, with less talent.

When you look at what actually happened in the seasons you're comparing, you see exactly how it happened.

In the first series against the Bucks, Pau averaged 16-12-4 and 2.3 blocks/game and the Bulls won in 6.

In the Game 1 win against the Cavs, Pau had a huge 21-10-4 and 4 blocks on 10-16 shooting.

In Game 3, he pulled a hamstring and had to leave early, though he already had 3 blocks in just 20 minutes. Bulls won that one too.

He was ruled out of Games 4-5 with the hamstring injury before coming back ineffective in Game 6.

@CHICAGO has actually said that Lebron only beat the Bulls that year because Pau got hurt. :lolbron:

So it that all you're bytching about? "Pau is soft AF" because he pulled a hammy? :hhh:

no he wont
It's actually inevitable :manny: :umad:

LeBron is only chasing Jordan right now. Just saw an interview where Eddie House said LeBron was second All-Time. I see more and more love for LeBron and it will continue to rise as he gets older.

And yet everyone of their PEERS still says Kobe is better.

Just goes to show they know something the stat sheet ain't telling you.

Kobe is way better than LeBron at actually playing basketball. All LeBron is better than Kobe at is padding his stats.
Chalk that up to his game being MUCH more aesthetically pleasing. Kobe is like Mike in that he has an exceptionally beautiful and fleshed out game. He makes the moves and shots that make you go "Wow::whoo:!".

Players admire that someone can make incredible shots and effortlessly drop 60 while making reverse/no-look layups(ala Jordan). Meanwhile, LeBron drops his casual 30 with 8 assists and 8 rebounds and no one bats an eye because it's a regular occurrence for him and the only flashy thing about him are his passes and Dunks.

LeBron plays for stats
He would trade one of his championship for Westbrook triple double season no doubt
