Uh, didn't Beyoncé just release a house album? It was heavily inspired by it, at least.

House never died to me...

Now, there was a time where I didn't listen to it much, but I attributed it to lack of access..

But, I listen to House, especially the Soulful stuff.. House music is my 2nd favorite genre and my favorite genre to dance/vibe to!!

I wouldn’t say it’s dead but I have noticed I don’t find as many joints that I like as I used to, but on the same note I don’t have the time to really dig in as much as I did. There’s some real dope stuff coming out of South Africa for sure. I think all music is just splintering off more and more into niche groups.

All the club DJs now play is trap and afrobeat.
Vibe has never been so boring.
House and techno never gets played in top 40 clubs in the states. And never really has been for mainstream clubs unlike in the UK and EU.
I think calvin harris briefly changed this back in the mid 10s'. It was a momentary reniasance as acts ranging from avicci to the remanants of swedish house mafia brought the genre mainstream. It filled clubs

Afrojack broke into mainstream around the same time too i think. I think "as your friend" is the only track non-edm people know from him because of that era.

Of course it goes without saying that black people didnt really care. The black dude from major lazer was doing his own thing around this time but only got attention once joined diplo and debuted in the white market

I got into about 2 years ago.

It's just underground now...back in the day you could once I. Awhile get a chart topper house track. But nowadays music is all about flexing and fukking on the next man bytch rather than good vibes.

But imma use this time to post some House stuff I created:mjgrin:
