I was one of the votes for 70-75 wins before this season began.
When I pointed out that they were running with 3 top-2 guys and a top-4 guy at their respective positions, while also being solid at the 5 and in bench and coaching, and how ridiculously unprecedented it was, people were talking down to me with all this, "You never know, it has to gell" bs.
Yep, it has to gell. That's why they're 20-3 right now instead of 23-0.
What the short-sighted haters didn't realize is that their ceiling was FAR higher than that of any other "super team" that's ever been built. No one in the last thirty years has ever had the two MVPs of the last three years (at their very prime), AND had two other all-star guys who were approximately top-3 at their position, AND had a solid rest of the lineup and coaching on top of that.
This team needing to gel means they only win 80% of their games. When they are rolling, losses will be very, very rare.
I mean, maybe you really think that Barnes/Green/Bogut was a better frontcourt than Durant/Green/Zaza.
Or maybe you're in the lead for WPOY.
