Cable modems was out in 99 and I ain't have a smartphone until 2010. Internet felt the same to me for a long time.

Facebook was big...but I never understood the dark side of social media until Twitter and Instagram took off this decade. Facebook was just college kids and not the pro thots of IG and Twitter etc.

Facebook back then was mainly college kids and high school kids...Eventually our parents got hip to FB and it became somewhat more family-friendly, at least that’s how it is on my end. Hell, I remember that from 2007 til about 2010ish, Twitter was associated with Politicos, news junkies, and old people. Twitter and Facebook were pretty simple back in the day. I made my account on Instagram back in 2012 but I didn’t really start fukking with IG like that til late 2014. I also didn’t get my first smartphone (Huawei Android from Cricket) til 2012, I was still 19 at the time. Yes, in 2012, I was prolly one of the handful of community college kids who had a regular old cellphone

Had that phone since 2006, I felt fresh as shyt when I got it shyt got stolen twice back in 8th grade tho since my shy ass wanted to fit in Never got my first phone back...Got a new one of the same model and it got stolen too but I did ended up getting it back thanks to a tip The nikka who stole my second phone changed my background screen to this Scarface character with a blunt in his mouth making it rain with $$$ and switched my whole ringtone to What You Know by T.I.
