Should we still tip people for merely doing their jobs?
I am on my phone while on the coli, neg me if you wish but I dont ever even see my bars.
Bars dont display while on mobile.

Ok so should we?
Theres many harder working industries where tips are non-existant.

Even deliveries should not be tipped however there should be a delivery charge.

Why do we need to tip?

meh, it shouldn't be obligated, but if someone gives you good service I don't feel bad giving a little.

but don't EXPECT a tip from me, and if you provide mediocre or shytty service, you ain't getting shyt.

Uber tried and then the CEO got fired and now they will start implementing tipping in the Uber app to retain drivers

Australia/New Zealand have this. Tips are not a thing or expected but things do cost more. Also, a decent wage for workers is also guaranteed.

i consider the tip as me paying extra for convenience. so food delivery, you're saving me getting dressed and driving, biking or walking to the establishment and picking up my food. i do have a problem with it when the service being provided should already have the convenience fee built in. why should i tip a cab driver for driving me somewhere when that's the point of me using his services? that's why i'm paying you $40-50 bucks to take me to the airport. a tip is then me saying thanks breh for driving me to the airport at a cost of $40-50 bucks. i don't tip package delivery people.

Why do we need to tip?

Just eat a Wendy's and focus your mental energy on something productive.

Get this through your head. The beer you buy at the bar isn't $4 as advertised. It's $5 cause you need to tip the bartender. If you feel the extra dollar is too much, go to a gas station and buy a 40 for $2. But most of all

Shut the fukc up about this subject.

I don't find it really matters. If we abolished tipping the base price of stuff would go up to compensate anyway.

What tipping does is motivate servers to do a good job. It doesn't pay them more/less then they would get anyway unless they're just shytty at their job and consistently get low tips.

Tipping shouldn't be expected and employers should pay living wages regardless of the industry. Customers shouldn't subsidize employers via tipping so employers can underpay workers.

when waiters are given incentive you receive better service.

if you pay them a flat wage that means they have no incentive to go above and beyond, which means you don't receive the same service.

also waiting tables is a very demanding job, not everyone can do it well. it requires a lot of patience, memorization and multitasking. the only reason people apply is because they have the opportunity to make good money. if you make it less desirable to be a waiter you're going to see more unqualified people being given waitering jobs... i.e. the people you would never want serving you in the first place.

the moral of the story is don't be a cheap fukk. leave a tip for service.
